If you want fun and a lot to talk about, take this one...

Balotelli's best friend at Inter - they both drove Mourinho nuts.

One of Austria's two biggest talents - Marco Arnautovic. He is in Bremen now and is not cup bound. Very big talent but very difficult to handle - like Balotelli is.

Maybe Mancini can deal with both ;)

I don't think Mancini will go for a straight up striker but more of an attacking midfiled/forward player. We need another class playmaker like Silva to feed the ball through more.. Once Dzeko has balls coming though he will be bagging them every game. Guaranteed i think.

I can see Mancini siging Allesio Cerci in January as a winger because imo we lack width at the moment. I can see De Rossi and/or a world class center back coming in January as well.

As for a Tevez replacement i can see one of the Napoli trio coming, i think Hamsik will be a big target or Lavezzi because of the speed he will bring... Argentinian for an Argentinian etcc..
If he wants a full on striker i would go for Cavani.. class player but you would be talking big money.

I know alot of people are bringing him down because they dont believe he is good enough for the PL but Neymar could be a good signing, not for £40-£50m but i could see a realistic figure of £25/£30m being agreed. Would be great addition for an attacking midfield/forward position.

I also think a wide man is more realistic.

Mancini must realise now you can't have four top strikers based on how little time Tevez got.

Guidetti I think has a good chance of slotting in but his loan to Feyenoord seems unbreakable.

But if we DID sign an actual striker why not look at someone less proven but talented like Luuk De Jong or Papiss Cisse, or the more experienced Roberto Soldado or Klaas-Jan Huntelaar if he'd accept such a role (people criticise him but he knows where the goal is).

I just find it hard to see someone like Rossi or Cavani come in to be our fourth choice striker, or if they become 2nd or 3rd choice that makes Balotelli or Dzeko fourth choice.

Tevez (and Mario) were not playing because of attitude problems not form problems. While Mancini was teaching his lessons to these two, he was overplaying Sergio and Dzeko. We suffered in Munich because of this. We have plenty of games for four strikers, especially if they can play in more than one forward position.

I still think four top strikers is one too many, three + one promising/experienced and undemanding is the right formula IMO and seems to be the case for most clubs, even the master talent horders Real Madrid (Higuain, Benzema, Ronaldo, with no real fourth forward but Callejon is sort of a winger/forward). I can't think of one club in the world that has four top level strikers like Aguero/Dzeko/Tevez/Balotelli. United did for a very short time (Rooney/Ronaldo/Berbatov/Tevez) but it led to problems with Tevez and he left.

Like who ?

Mancini's favourite seems to be Cerci because he wouldn't cost a lot and is looking really good. There's a rumour of Kolarov for Krasic but Krasic isn't that great IMO and he was terrible for Juve the other day even though they won. Lavezzi and Hazard would be good signings but both so expensive for someone who'd probably be on the bench a lot. Then there's Junior Hoilett, a favourite on Bluemoon already but I've lost count of how many young wingers look great at first but in the end aren't so I'm a bit wary of that.
