a biased rag. always will be.

Running to Peter Spencer to grass up some poor kid in charge of captions who's probably on £6 per hour, shows exactly what sort of a person you are and tells us a great deal about the type of company you work for if that sort of behaviour is considered acceptable. Plus the fact that you've then come out on a public forum to admit that you've tried to get a fellow colleague into trouble is very poor indeed. Disgraceful in fact.
Shite rag loving newspaper that employs shite rag loving journalists.

I answered in a City top and his face dropped. Told him as a blue there is no way I'm buying that paper
He said its full of City. Told him cos its got loads of City content doesn't mean its good to read and quoted the tour piece and the 10 goal thriller headline.
With a shug of his shoulders he was away.
I got the feeling it wasn't the first time today he'd been bombed out.

If you had even the slightest clue, I would reply, but you are wrong on just about every point. My job is to write the articles, I am not responsible for picture captions in any way - I don't see them until they appear in the paper.
There is no "kid on £6 per hour" doing picture captions - your ignorance of this subject knows no bounds.
I don't mind valid criticism, in fact I welcome it, but stupid abuse from idiots likes you just narks me.

What is the "tour piece"?
And I think you will find the "ten-goal thriller" headline is yet another urban myth, made up by someone on here who, unlike the MEN, really DOES have an agenda.
Someone is at it again on here, making up the "fact" that the MEN website does not run United polls.
The most damaging poll we ever ran was in 1995, when we ran one asking "Should United sack Fergie?" when they had a bad start to the season. Not surprisingly, Blues were all over it, and the answer was a resounding Yes.
Fergie was not impressed, and the relationship between the MEN and United has not been on a good footing since.
But don't let real facts, and actual history, get in the way of your ridiculous ramblings
I've said it a million times, and nobody on here has ever answered it - what could we possibly have to gain by trying to alienate a large proportion of our readership, and potential readership?

The publication should have the honesty to drop the word 'evening' from it's name as it hasn't been such for years and pedals yesterday's news.
There is also a very good reason that it's circulation is declining faster than any other regional paper bar 2, even though 30.000 of it's claimed 90,000 circulation is now given away free.
It's no longer a good paper......my opinion and many others.....
