Stuart Pearce

The 80s and 90s clearly bypassed you. Benson, McNeill, Frizzell, Clark, Neale, Coppell, Ball. Pearce was bad, no arguments there, but some of them were way worse.
No Jim I've been going to watch City since 1973 but for me his poor style of football was right up there with all those you mentioned, if not worse than some of them because he had better players.

Spot on, how the fuck does he get work, must have a good agent, absolute tosser as a manager, tosser as a pundit, and is the most boring fucker on talk sport ( apart from that welsh me me me ex utd dean saunders, or DEANO as they call him fucking deano, how old is he. utter shite, going down the nick talk sport, as is sky .
He is cockney white van man personified.

The reason we stayed up was because of four players.

Dunne
Distin
Barton
Richards

None of whom he brought to the club.

Every single player he brought in was useless apart from a desperate free agent punt on Mpenza which could’ve gone either way.
Not a great response.

The manager still picks the team and chooses the tactics. I seem to recall Barton ending his own City career that season too so I’d hardly say he was a shining line.

Also, Mpenza, who Pearce signed, scored vital away goals in wins that kept us up. Nevertheless, I still wanted him gone at the end.

Think The Sun sat on the story from about 1993 and released it when he was put in charge of the national side of my memory serves me correct..........
Just to catch him out, bit like when they set fat Sam up. Anyway 2 wrongs don't make a right , Pearce being a racist and the press being twats.
