One of the guide lines of sports commentary , is one commentator says something , then his sidekick retorts , verbal tennis if you will ....its a tried & trusted formula thats worked the world over for years now.
So why would Martin Tyler spout a mouthful about " Manchester City scoring two goals in injury time , to deny Manchester Utd the title " etc etc etc , and then suddenly shout ( in a totally different tone ) " Stupendous " ?
