My "favourite" part of the incident were the video shots of him checking/grasping his teeth. I know he meant it to look like he was just elbowed (which is why he bit Chellieni in the first place—same thing the bully does in the schoolyard: throw the first light punch so the victim is caught for the return lash) but it made him seem more guilty.

No, it is usually the second punch that gets the attention (in football, the schoolyard, and elsewhere). Pretty commonly accepted, actually, so not sure what you're on about.

I think he's saying that Suarez was trying to provoke the Italian player into retaliation in hopes of the Italian player getting sent off. Or am I misunderstanding your objection?

That was clearly not a bite. The teeth marks are from Chiellini striking Suarez in the mouth with his shoulder as his elbow went back. Jim White is a bitter Suarez hater because England lost.

to be fair to the ref a player cant run up to him with bumps and knocks that have allegedly happened in a specific incident the ref would have had to have seen the incident as just discussed by the BBC panel, from where the ref was it did look like some sort of head but contact to his shoulder then the angle from the side inconclusively proved the bite in fact sausrez's teeth were pulling his shirt up, all thats come out has been proved on replay evidence not in real time however there is plenty evidence for FIFA to now act

No, you've got it. Suarez has done other things like kicking the back of players legs, elbows into the back, and calling them slurs to get them to retaliate for punishment.

He is despicable.
