It'll be interesting to see who plays for the U21 vs Fulham tonight. That will give us an idea of who will be about for the Villa game. From the looks of it though, the U18's played a lot of 14/15 year olds for their match so I'm thinking the 18's will be playing for the 21's to let them play vs Villa.

Very long winded!

That game has already happened (2pm kickoff) - we lost 1-0 just as the U18s lost to Fulham. No Suarez which means he is in the plans tomorrow. Suarez, Razak, and Scapuzzi (ugh) all look likely to play a part. Rekik still seems to be injured.
Wtf, Scapuzzi still here?

Yes unfortunatly, so is Mancini Junior you can see them in several inside city videos training with the first team. One is his son and the other one is Italian, says it all. He had an offer from Siena Scapuzzi but decided he wanted to stay and fight for a place..... I honestly don´t see what Mancini sees in him other then being Italian, I hope he leaves as quickly as possible.

Scapuzzi looks a more lively as an attacking midfielder than a forward in recent EDS/friendlies I have seen him in but I'd be very surprised if he is ever going to make it here. We have younger lads at the club who seem more promising like Rusnak and previously Roman who don't/didn't get the opportunities he does. I really don't see it, like you said there was Serie A interest for him and if we pushed, he would have gone (like Savic did) but someone must like him. It's so strange though, he is 21 already, rarely plays for the EDS (think only against Liverpool so far this season), isn't near the first team for most games, and isn't going out on loan so what is he doing here?

That´s a very good question and I agree with your post. I feel he´s just standing in the way of Rusnak as you mentioned even Suarez, Lopez and Evans. Even though he´s not a CM as Evans is he´s still ahead of him in the pecking order when it´s clearly that those names I mentioned are far more talented (imo) and younger and may have a future with us.

Big interview with him in tonight's programme (internet version now available). Interesting that he says he is enjoying playing for the EDS a lot more since Lombardo took over from the clueless Welsh, although thinks a loan move would be better for him. He also wishes we had a B team in the lower leagues like they do in Spain. He said City are the closest thing to a Spanish team in how we play. Hope he plays tonight, looks like a fair few kids will be in the squad - Evans and Hiwula rumoured to be getting first team debuts at some point.

I don't rate him as much as others do but it's a joke if he does not play tonight. Where are these rumours about the other two?

Was in the Daily Mail at the bottom of the Silva burn-out story, saying Evans and Hiwula had been called into the squad and are poised to make their debuts, probably off the bench if anything. Although if it goes tits up and we're racing for a result at the end I'm not sure that will happen.

Hiwula will have to travel back quickly then from Estonia!!
