We cheered Bellamy, the guy who went to court over allegedly attacking two women, who attacked a team-mate with a golf club, so we can hardly sit on a moral high-horse can we? Suarez would become very popular because of his workrate.
On the pitch Bellamy had a temper but he never carried out evil tackles and stamping like Suarez regularly does. Not to mention his history of biting, deliberate handballs and constant diving.LoveCity said:We cheered Bellamy, the guy who went to court over allegedly attacking two women, who attacked a team-mate with a golf club, so we can hardly sit on a moral high-horse can we? Totally agreePlain Speaking said:To the best of my knowledge there is no other player in world football that has repeatedly carried out on field assaults like Suarez, (as gifs above), not to mention his other antics!SergioInAddedTime said:Wil be embarassing when we buy him, and everybody starts chanting his name match in match out, then too look back at all the shit he gets here. Come on we dont want to go in the same trap as the scums fans who hated RvP and now they adore him.
He is a thug and only Barton probably comes close.
He is hated world wide.
RVP was never hated like this guy.
Any "shit he gets here" is entirely justified as its only caused by his unacceptable behaviour.

Bellamy was already at the club when our owners took over. I'm not sure we would look to acquire him under our present owners.
I would like to think, under our new owners, as a club, we are trying to set moral standards of behaviour on and off the field.
Our captains VK and Zab epitomise the way we like our players to behave. Suarez is the opposite.
I concede Bellamy had a less than perfect reputation but his conduct on the field was angelic compared to Suarez.LoveCity said:Bellamy joined City after the takeover (January '09) and our owners would have been fully aware of his poor reputation when he joined. Bust ups at every club that had been covered in the newspapers, he was one of the perennial bad boys of English football. In fact he was rumoured to have gone on strike and confirmed to have stormed out of training at West Ham to try and force through a move to Spurs or City. It hardly matters whether it was on the pitch or off the pitch because his reputation was well known. And Suarez is 5x the player Bellamy was.

Take at look at the gifs earlier, they speak for themselves. If he was not a footballer, with his psychotic mentality, I'm pretty sure he would be in prison.Salford_Blue said:Plain Speaking said:On the pitch Bellamy had a temper but he never carried out evil tackles and stamping like Suarez regularly does. Jesus H, you make him sound like Peter Sutcliffe in a football shirt
