The UKs population density is however quite unbalanced, we have large areas like the highlands of Scotland, the southern uplands and the pennines that have some of the lowest population density in western Europe, and then London and the south east and the Midlands and North west conurbations which have some of the highest densities in Europe. So that figure alone doesn't tell the whole story.
You mean more people live in big cities and not so much in the countryside? Game changer!
I wonder if that applies to other countries? :)
