Suella Braverman - sacked as Home Secretary (p394)

Christ, couldn't believe this made it as a news story today.
The speeding fine is not the point. As I said earlier it is about getting the Civil Servants to do her private work for her; in this case organise a private speed awareness course. It like getting your secretary to write to your bank manager to arrange a personal loan.

Corruption is corruption. Trying to influence the legal process is perverting the course of justice. Take the points or take the course in a group like anyone else you fucking crook.

As much as I cannot stand her, I have no issue with any of this at all

Really? So when policies like Rwanda fail part of the blame is placed on the blob of civil servants who are interfering to thwart them and failing to remain a-political they get castigated?

Then when Braverman tries to employ the civil service as her personal servants and do her bidding and they refuse because they must be a-political they get castigated.

Which one of those contradictory situations do you agree with?
