My concern isn’t with the rules it’s the fact that Johnson and his cronies broke them….repeatedly and without any shame or contrition. I didn't think the criticisms were unfair, I just thought (personally) it was blown out of proportion and that the sins were not in themselves that serious. That's just my view and obviously MANY people had a different view - and I never said otherwise. But that does not mean people didn't try to make political capital out of it. As the old saying goes, "Just because I am paranoid, it doesn't mean the buggers are not out to get me". Anyway the politically expedient criticisms were entirely to be expected - its the nature of politics. Which is what I meant when I cited the Tories' criticisms of Starmer's drinks issue. I didn’t have a clue what to do when I got on, tried asking driver how much it was and how far the journey was and he was tutting like a right ****, got card out to pay for me and mrs and was told I couldn’t pay her fare she had to use her own card!! Started to dispute in my own calm and reasonable way that I’m known for then heard some **** at the back screaming for me to hurry the fuck up because they were in a rush.
My calm and reasonable self then disappeared and I shouted something back which might have had some expletives before my mrs dragged me off the bus where we got a taxi, a taxi that I’d fucking suggested we get in the first place until she told me the bus would be an adventure!! Haha!
