Summer exits...

I think if Mourinho comes in, Adebayor will stay. Doesn't Mourinho rate him? Maybe even Tevez.

Imagine if Dzeko and Balotelli made way for Adebayor and Tevez, people we've been paying the past 2 years to not play for us??

He does but he used Ade often as a sub at Real and didn't make a great effort to sign him after, so may not rate him enough to make him a priority. Mourinho's Real were interested in Dzeko so there's a good chance he might rate Dzeko more than Ade for example and I doubt he'd keep both (one lanky and inconsistent forward is enough). I do think Tevez would stay if Mourinho came in... well, if we're bringing in the most despised manager in the world we may as well become hated for a reason. =)

Out:
Kolorav
Pizzaro
Balo
Adebayor
Bridge
Tevez
De Jong
Hargo
Crocky
Weiss
Boyata
Suarez(loan)
Razak(loan)
Savic(loan)

In:
Def: Jordi Alba and one of these: Thiago Silva or Matts Hummels

Yaya type player: Javi Martinez

Pizzaro type player: DDR

Winger, preferably 2: Hazard and one of these Bale, Lavezzi, or Di Maria

Strikers, preferably 2: Guidetti and one of these RVP, Cavani, or Higuain

Possibilities with these transfers.
Rotate Javi and Yaya each game so they will be fully fit for each game.
Guidetti will have the 3th striker choice. with RVP/Cavani/Higuain starting with Sergio.
Dzeko will start with Sergio or RVP/Cavani/Higuain away from home so the wingers Hazard and Bale/Lavezzi/Di Maria will have someone big to cross for and someone small to play towards the feet. Johnson(Stays due to 8 players need to be homegrown) will replace one of the injured Wingers.
Thiago/Matts will start with Komps. Lescott to be replacement for one of them if they get injured.
Clichy for the games against hard teams and Alba for the teams that PTB.

Would win every single game x - 0 - 0 record right there baby.

Of our regular first teamer's I really can't see the big shake-up many of you want.
Player's don't get shipped out, they just get demoted in the pecking order.

AJ will play second fiddle to a new wide man. Kolo and Savic will fight for a spot on the bench because of a new CB. We'll certainly be in the market for a new striker but there's not many out there who have the quality we want and are available.

3 spots that could use an upgrade to give us a better chance next season. CD, CM, Wing

At CB the choices are as follows
The Obvious:
Thiago Silva:
Matt Hummels:

The Unknown Superstars in the making:
Javi Martinez: Not really unknown, but he is viewed more as a CM. I think his best position is CD and he will become an exceptional one.
Jan Vertonghen: Exceptional CD from a lower league. Definitely going to move. Not so unknown since I became his BM publicist :P
Ynga Mbiwa: Exceptional CD from a selling club. Will be a fantastic addition

One of those 5 will satisfy the CD requirement

At CM: This is the area where I have done my most search. Full disclosure here, I have been searching for the next Pizzaro for months now (I think he is that good, and anyone like him but younger will be fantastic) Quick thinking, quick passing, and impeccable long ball accuracy. S

The obvious choices
Dannielle De Rossi.
Ricardo Montelivo.
Bruno Soriano:
Yann M'vila:

The Unknown Superstars in the making:
Benat Urkiaga: This kid is the next Xavi in my opinion and I would love it if he became that star here. A special unassuming talent. Quick touch with the long ball specialty
Luca Cigarini: He is Italian so Roberto should know about him. A little raw, but he is the closest thing to Pirlo I have seen since Pizzaro. Love his game and think he can be something special.
Marco Estrada: Not really unknown, but I added him coz he reminds me of Pizzaro, and is also Chilean :P

Winger/Wide attacking AM: So here speed and dribbling ability are the key requirements. I.e. the Messi factor. Something we lack.

The obvious
Eden Hazzard, Lavezzi, Di Maria,

The Unknown
Juan Guerlermo Cuardrado: Well, if we want a player who attacks defenders consistently, look no further than this guy. The beauty of it is that he is actually a RB turned Right winger. But he dribbles and attacks defenders like no other.
Claudio Mashisio: More of central midfielder. But I love watching him when he plays wide. Coz he is more adventurous and he is immensely skilled and has an eye for the pass.
Junior Hoilett:
Ben Arfa:

I think a player from each of the Unknown groups and one star from the list in red. Preferably Hazzard.

example
Hazard
Arfa
Estrada
Martinez

or
Lavezzi
Hoilett
Cigarini
Vertonghen

or
Di Maria
Cuadrado
Benat
Mbiwa

my only issue is not buying enough homegrown :(

I have a hard time understanding why everyone tries to pencil in Hummels when he is the starting CB for the best team in Germany at the age of 23. He's not leaving.

Mbiwa could be Newcastle bound according to the papers, would be another coup for them from France.

We will need to address homegrown as several that we have don't seem to have long-term futures here. Onuoha already gone from this year's list with Bridge to follow. Barry getting older and likely to deteriorate in the next couple of seasons. Johnson simply not good enough and Milner likely to become unsettled if he remains a fringe player.

Only 4 of a required 8 may be here by the 2013/2014 season... Hart, Micah, Clichy, Lescott... although we could keep Stuart Taylor to make up another number.

John Guidetti and Abdul Razak will be 21 by then and should count if they stay. The club should try and sign Nathaniel Clyne before United, as he'll cost next to nothing because of his contact and is very talented, would be a good understudy for Micah. Someone like Nathan Redmond, who could be the next Oxlade-Chamberlain, might be another good addition.

I generally add him and Silva to appease the masses :P I have no doubt they are not coming here any time soon. :(

Our best bets are: Martinez, Mbiwa or Vertonghen. All three are fantastic and will probably be as good for us as either of those 2.

They have gotten really good at buying serious talent for cheap. We should pay attention :(

I think a part of our problem is that we buy the wrong kinds of Homegrown players. We should definitely keep Taylor to make it 5. As for those we are likely losing; Johnson, and Milner simply don't fit our style. They are both very good players, just not technically good enough or buy into our tactical style. Milner will be a stud at Liverpool, and I think Johnson needs to drop down to a lower level (VIlla, Fulham e.t.c.) and star for them. We need to buy players like Ox Chamberlain, Wilshere, McEachran, Scott Parker, Huddlestone e.t.c. As in guys who are technically sound and cerebral. We should keep Razak and perhaps add Clynn (haven't seen much of him though).

The only player I would like to see come to City this summer is a Deep-Lying
Play-maker midfielder like Pizarro. I mean you only have to look at last game and see how important that is to us. We were crap for 80 mins then Pizarro comes on and we score 2.
Our first target should be DDR, and let's hope that Roma doesn't get CL so he'll have extra motivation to come here.

DDR should have joined us in January when we wanted him, he could have helped us a lot in the run-in! I'm sure I read there is no cheap get-out clause in his new contract but maybe I'm mistaken. I'd still love him at the club, we need more fighters like him who also happen to be top quality. But that ship has probably sailed now.

We would've won it already with him :(.
If that ship has sailed already then we need to find another deep-lying play-maker preferably a young one so he'll be here for years to come.

A few possibilities:
Marco Estrada
Claudio Maschisio
Luca Cigarini
Benat Ukriaga

Nice call on Marco Estrada. He's experienced and would cost peanuts.

Should be a pretty easy summer for us since what we need is being documented on fucking live television by Neville of all people.

Out:
AJ
Savic (if anyone will take him)
Tevez
One of Mario or Dzeko
Ade

Total: 50-70m

In:
Hazard- 35m
Hoilett- 0 (Let's not miss out like we did on Samba)
Estrada- 5m
Martinez- 30-35m

70-75m

Our problems sorted in every area.

These two players for a total cost of around 5m would be a steal:

They both know what it's like to play hard at smaller clubs. I'm tired of primadonnas on big salaries, let's get some fighters who appreciate being paid top wages.

Am I the only person who thinks Thiago Silva is vastly overrated?
Well last year, he was perhaps one of the top 3 CD's in football. He just like Kompany has not been as good this year. So if you think Kompany is the best CD in the prem, a position 99% od BM holds (myself included) then he too is equally as overrated as SIlva. Who too is not having as stellar of a season has he did the last 2 or 3 years.

So it is a function of what you are talking about. If it is present performance, sure he is overrated. If it is recent historic performances, well he has been one of the best around in the past.
