Summer Shopping List??

I really don't want to see Silva pushed out left when he can be our CAM and capitalize on the space and actually have another winger on the left.

You guys want Sneijder. What are sneijders strenghts? Distribution and free kicks. Want this?

Get Sahin hell distribute the ball with his play making and long ball abilities. Hell jump start your perfect counter attack with a long ball from the opposition box before the camera even moves. Plus he can defend his ass off. Young. Conplete player. Also can take free kicks. How many creative Cdm do you know? I've done an ass of research on him and I'm convinced.

So there you have it. Problem solved and at the same type a new dimension to our game is added. We can be a threat, we just have to make the right picks this summer.

Edit: many complain our DMs can't play the ball. Problem solved. Again haha. Besides wingers, surprisingly Sahin has the potential to fill quite a bit of our weaknesses in one affordable buy.

Taken from Caught Offside
"Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Dimitar Berbatov if the Bulgarian chooses to leave Old Trafford this summer. The Premier League’s top scorer has been left on the bench in recent weeks and it appears that Sir Alex Ferguson prefers to partner the young pairing of Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez than rely on the former Tottenham man.

Roberto Mancini is likely to sell Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz and there are concerns that Carlos Tevez may once again push to leave Eastlands amid reported interest from Italy, that could leave the Man City looking for new attacking options, not least because Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko have not settled in all that well since their arrival at the club.

Of course Man City bought Carlos Tevez in the summer of 2009 after the Argentine’s first team options were reduced and Berbatov may well feel a similar move may be of interest.

The 30 year old striker has netted 21 Premier League goals this term but has started just two of the last seven Premier League games as Ferguson has opted for alternative options despite Dimitar Berbatov being the Premier League’s top scorer, a situation that has left contract talks up in the air with just over a year left on his current contract.

Mancini is especially keen to bring in effective striking options and the collective total of seven Premier League goals netted by Emmanuel Adebayor, Edin Dzeko and Mario Balotelli has left the Italian depending far too much on Carlos Tevez."

You have got to be kidding me... his performance in the game against us is a perfect example of why NOT to get this guy. He has scored a lot of goals but generally against sh!t teams and usually because the service he gets from the midfield etc is huge.

how about a fast LW just looks like kolorovs alone on the left side so Reyes from Athletico Madrid

Service. That's the key word and exactly why I feel having two wingers, coentrao, and sahin would take us on our way to European domination :P

What guy was the poster talking about?

lol @ the idea of berbatov, if Tevez leaves we need a player of similar mould, not a lazy poacher. Only viable options are Aguero, Hulk and Llorente imo

? He is more like Dzeko than Tevez. Perhaps even more like Carroll. A tall poweful header of the ball with size and good shots in both feet.

-- Sun Apr 17, 2011 7:59 pm --

Its the bold writing above quoted from Caught offside. Berbatov is who =P
Oh! Talented player, but giving United money to go buy who they want, doesn't strike me as a good policy.

Yeah exactly, if Tevez goes, we need someone of a similar mould, someone who fights for the ball and is willing to get stuck into a tackle, close down defenders to win it back. We have the "target man/poacher" in Dzeko and we have the "pacey fast striker" in Balotelli, we don't need another Dzeko only older and lazier.

He may be the league's top goalscorer and he may have a bit of talent on the ball but if Dzeko played for United, he'd have scored more than Berba.

Edit: Completely missed out the bold bit haha, my bad. I'm thinking of the wrong player and right now I can't even recall who I'm talking about... plays in Spain, similar to Tevez :\ any takers?
