surely we could sign isco to do that? for the price spuds would want for alli we could sign isco and weigl for midfield!

He's nowhere near good enough for us. We need top quality players who will take us to that next level. Ox wont.

He's wank. 6 seasons at Arsenal and he has scored a grand total of 9 league goals. Dele Alli has more this season alone.

Sterling under Pellegrini wasn't good enough for us either.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is one of a long line of young players who have arrived at Arsenal and been chronically mis-managed, not lived up to their potential and suffered because of it. Guardiola would be the perfect coach to get that potential out of him, so I would not be worried if I heard we were going in for him, it would mean Pep obviously sees some untapped quality there.

Also the fact he can play in Central midfield reasonably well would be useful as you can never have too many midfielders.

The biggest worry would be injuries, but he seems to have gotten over them in the last 12 months.

Our first target should be another winger IMO.

We desperately, desperately need someone capable of coming in for Sterling or Sané and carrying a similar threat. if it's Roberts, that'd brilliant, but if he's not good enough then we need someone quickly.

does isco score many goals? always thought he was a silva-like playmaker instead of a de bruyne-like goalscoring #10.

Don't want Alli about the place. His work ethic and attitude are toxic and, for all his talent, he fits the system and style in Spurs much better where he can laze around and leach off Harry Kane. Isco is a far better option here on every level.

As for the Ox, he actually does put in a shift and his effort is in line with requirements under Guardiola. So does Delph though, so obviously effort isn't everything. IMO, Ox would be good squad depth but never a first team starter. If he's happy enough playing that role, as he's done at Arsenal, and he's not outrageously expensive, then why not?

De Bruyne who's only got 3 goals this season?

Isco is definitely a goal threat. He got roughly 1 in 4 at Malaga. At Real he's got fewer but he's often been shunted out wide and has had play time interrupted so it's hard to compare. 6 in 20 League games so far this season though. He's definitely capable of scoring from outside the box which we've missed since Yaya stopped doing it.
