Summer Transfers

Because he only has 1 year left and is about to leave too.
I think there are some big differences. Alaba plays every week for bayern so the last year of his contract is worth more as a key player than Sane who may be sulking and unlikely to be a key player. Alaba is also far more likely to sign a contract at bayern than Sane signing for us. There is a 0% chance of Sane extending with us.

I'm not sure where the number 20m came from. I said I believe City will accept between £40-45m for Sane.

Alaba is not coming, he does not want to nor does he want to play LB, Bayern might want rid once the injuries clear up but he still will not come
Mendy Theo Hernandez far far better but first Mendy has to go, so not happening
Zinchenko Dalbert/Tsimikas both an upgrade that would suit the EPL, is Zinchenko going?
Angelinho Al Nouri quality but not the aggression needed,
so how do we improve if we can not move on more than one?

Not sure, but I rate Mendy and think he's worked hard to come back and I don't mind him being first choice left back next season if he can prove his fitness in the rest of this season. Alaba I would have thought would be a target as a cb rather than a lb, but can obviously play both which would be great for us.

David Luis would do a better job. as for Mendy nothing he has done over the last three years suggest he is a good player

I’d seriously consider taking a look at Aubameyang. I know he doesn’t tie into our philosophy, but he’d be an amazing Sané replacement on the left, and a world class option for when Aguero isn’t playing/is injured. It would also take pressure off of Jesus.

If we do a straight swap of Sané for Lucas, and get Alaba for a decent price, it could look like this:

In: Aubameyang £50mil, Lucas £0, Alaba £25mil, Tosin back from loan
Out: Sane £0, Angelino £20mil
Net: £55mil

Aubameyang Aguero Sterling
KDB Rodri Bernardo
Alaba Lucas Laporte Walker
Ederson

Foden Jesus Mahrez
Gundogan Fernandinho Zinchenko
Mendy Otamendi Garcia Canelo
Zak Stefan

This is a very strong set of first 11’s, with not an huge increase in spend.
