Summer Transfers

Stones
Zinchenko

Ilkay
Otamendi

Leroy
David Silva

Stones is signing a new contract. Zin and Gundo are going nowhere and Otamendi is quite happy to sit tight and run his deal down next year and then move back to Spain or Argentina.

The transfer window is so tight this year, makes outgoings for us extremely problematic.

jack gaughan says the semedo and cancelo talks are ongoing tolm? Surely a top CB at least will come in?

The Semedo deal was floated to us by Mendes as early as January, it makes a lot of sense all round for both his clients.

Barcelona have a fire sale going on, so not sure what suits them best in terms of getting cash from Juve or a player from us.

Should we be cleared at CAS, that might alter the landscape on a name or two.

We must take advantage of the financial situation at some clubs presently.

Not to slight Ezzy's info. Almeda visited the CFA last year with his agent but stupidly then went and signed a new deal (perhaps to get them more cash)

It is certainly correct in what he is saying, the age profile is changing and City want to keep it under 24.

I may be wrong but I believe he had a buyout clause put into his new contract of around €25 mill

does that mean a move for Ruben Dias could be likely again or too costly? Cheers Tolm.

Gundo staying makes the Aouar rumours slightly baffling. Just going to be one too many midfielders if we want to give Foden a proper shot.

The only way it would work imo is if he's a permanent backup to Rodri as a 6 (where he's much better), but I know that Pep will just be too tempted to play him at 8 again over Foden.

Understandably the economy is going to be a rough one and if otamendi and stones are staying we still need a better option imo at CB alongside Laporte? A LB possibly as well would be an idea! Lol

i think the aouar signing (if it’s true) is just long term planning on a young player but desperately wants?

No idea, bud. Aware of the links but that's all.

Thanks for responding.

do you think we’ll move for a first team centre-back, if Otamendi and Stones remain put? Very very very concerning if not. Above all else, it’s the one area we can’t manage anymore without reinvestment.
