Never got the ‘at least’ when giving a price, either 50 mill is the price they will take or it isn’t.
Not for me i can not understand why anyone would want a Scott Parker play alike, he is not even the best DM in Lyon`s side who are not going to qualify for Europe, for £ 50 million you could buy Lyon this summer. Zakiria and Phillips offer more to us
guess we have to trust pep mate[/QUOTE
Too right this is just the press running of a Pep quote from years ago, ( or at least i hope so) but when it came to the proof of the pudding Pep chose Rodri, and Rodri has one flaw that Aouar can not fix
He'd probably play as an 8, maybe Pep think it's too much pressure on phil if he's the only left sided 8. If we get Aouar I think Gundogs days as an 8 are over, which I'd happily take. Gundogan is not that bad as a 6Not for me i can not understand why anyone would want a Scott Parker play alike, he is not even the best DM in Lyon`s side who are not going to qualify for Europe, for £ 50 million you could buy Lyon this summer. He played there whilst Ndombele was there who was the better box to box and DM, it was in the DM that Pep said he liked him,. We would be buying him as back up to Rodri a DM but he would need other aspects to his game to get more game time, and in that there are an awful lot of players better and cheaperbut pep wouldn’t be buying him as a DM? I think he only played there against us alongside ndombele at the Etihad for stability? He would be getting bought to play in the sort of 8 role?
Foden will play as Bernardo`s back up Gundogan will play as De Bruyne`s back up, Gundogan`s days are numbered but he will play for us next season as Pep will keep movement to a minimum, because Pep still wants to win this seasons CLHe'd probably play as an 8, maybe Pep think it's too much pressure on phil if he's the only left sided 8. I think it would make much more sense to have Aouar as a KDB backup and Gundog as a Rodri backup. Aouar would be a bit wasted at CDM, it's like trying to move Iniesta to CDM it wouldn't really work except for a double pivot. Aouar also has much needed energy as an 8.Foden will play as Bernardo`s back up Gundogan will play as De Bruyne`s back up, Gundogan`s days are numbered but he will play for us next season as Pep will keep movement to a minimum, because Pep still wants to win this seasons CL

Bernardo/Phil/Doyle for the left 8
KDB/Aouar/Bernabe for the right 8
Rodri/Gundogan/Zinchenko for the CDM
That's a really solid midfield. Of course Fern can hop in at CDM if Pep changes his mind
I think Gundogan did a good job covering for Fernandinho at the end of last season. Of course he's very dependent of the backline doing the heavy work defensively. But he's a excellent deep lying playmaker as dictating the play is one of his great strengthsThere is a good reason for not putting Gundogan in as a DM apart from he is a lot better up front and he is way too slow, if a defender makes a mistake they lose you the game if an attacker makes a mistake there is always another chance, Aouar is better than Gundogan, but Gundogan has a contract so it is not his place up for grabs
I thought he was good too, and so was the rest of the team carrying him especially KDB who did all his leg work for him, so do you really want to go into next season with the slowest midfield in the country? i do not think so otherwise you would not have mentioned Zakaria? not the greatest footballer but very good mobilityI think Gundogan did a good job covering for Fernandinho at the end of last season. I’ve found wanting what Pep want seems to work out not too bad so find it best to just leave it to him. Then get on and enjoy the football instead of trying to second guess him.I thought he was good too, and so was the rest of the team carrying him especially KDB who did all his leg work for him, so do you really want to go into next season with the slowest midfield in the country? i do not think so otherwise you would not have mentioned Zakaria? not the greatest footballer but very good mobility
Too true but since there is no football and all we can do is second guess what Pep is going to do, based on what he has done or said in the past, so i will apologize if you find my football entertainment inappropriate.I’ve found wanting what Pep want seems to work out not too bad so find it best to just leave it to him. I'd much prefer someone who can play both as a destroyer when we lose posession and as a deep lying playmaker when we have posession, like Fernandinho. Thomas Partey and Konrad Laimer definitely have those qualities, and to a lesser extent Denis Zakaria. Zakaria is better both defensively and physicially than Partey and Laimer, but there would maybe be questions over his distribution and if he can dictate the tempo. Pep have decided that slow, smart deep lying playmakers like Jorginho, Rodri and Gundogan are integral to his system for whatever reason most fans can't understand. Maybe because Pep himself was one during his playing career. Realistically I think Pep will continue with Rodri and Gundog as CDM's, so hopefully we'll buy a quick CB like Upamecano to compensate for that slow midfield
... Bernardo ........................ De BruyneOkay so now i will say what i would do in midfield and everyone can pick it apart, or just maybe suggest something better or a better fit?
... Bernardo FP......................... De Bruyne FP
... Foden CT............................. Gundogan FP
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Rodri FP..............................
.....................Fernadinho FP.......................
.....................Camavinga YP.......................
And that is it for central midfield with Silva`s spot going to a striker and Camavinga at any price as he adds to the squad without taking a place in the domestic matches and in time will be Club Trained, he alread has a very good engine good touch plays both DM and box to box
