Summer Transfers

surely when we get a new CB Fernandinho will back up rodri?
Fernandinho will be kept on primarily as back up to Rodri, but more for his knowledge experience and leadership, his legs have gone and the mistakes are happening more frequent, but that is why i would buy Camavinga as he would not take up a squad place but could play alongside Rodri and Fernandinho as their legs

Not the most hyped up or fashionable name but Konrad Laimer at Leipzig would probably be the best fit to rotate with Rodri. I've been very impressed when I've seen him. He covers ground and intercepts similar to Kanté, but he offers more going forward and got excellent ball ball progression.

He's also absolutely rapid for a defensive mid, I think he'd be the fastest midfielder in our team if he were to join, faster than Bernardo as well. If I were to compare him to someone it would be Allan at Napoli or maybe Fernandinho in the beginning of his City career.

Here's a video for those who haven't watched a lot of Leipzig:

I have heard good things of this lad recently, but given the choice of one player from Red Bull it would still be Upamecano, just think he fits us well given our need and quality

If we include Angelino in a deal we could probably get both. Leipzig are a selling club, throw them 80m + angelino and they'd probably accept. And then we'll take Nagelsmann after Pep leaves

Heard bayern are in the running for upamecano.
Bayern have way too many defenders. If Upamecano is smart he'll join us because there's literally no competition. He and Laporte can probably bond over not being picked by the blind man that is Deschamps. Bayern got Hernandez, Pavard, Alaba, Boateng, Süle all capable of playing CB

There will be no money for mega transfers. What I think will happen are swops, part x's, trades. Harry Redknapp would be in his element. Top top players will not move , unless they are near the end of contracts. The fear will be a second peak of the virus closing down the league again. Will be at least 3 seasons before the transfer fees start to rise again , whatever The Daily Mail are saying.)

No. It is 3 left footed defenders for the left back and the left central defender position - and as Martinez and probably Boateng will leave only Pavard and Süle for right back and right fullback.

Some clubs might need to sell just to survive.Times like this it's good not to be owned by Wardle or Lee.

Alaba will probably leave but I'm just unsure if he'll join us. Right now he's forced to play CB due to Davies and now Lucas Hernandez is back and he plays both LB and left CB. I'm thinking Bayern won't sell unless we give them Sané

I do not think Alaba is forced to - I actually think he enjoys to play the position as he is the boss in defense and has more responsibilities than he ever had before. That we function so great with Fink is a result of having a central skeleton from Neuer - Alaba - Kimmich+Thiago/Müller - Lewandowski all in central positions from back to front - all of them stables in the team since a long time.

In:

Stones

Zinchenko

*Best midfield in the world for sure
*Two wc CB
Haland to replace Aguero 2021

I agree, desperate attempts to sell. Whether these will be the types of player the top teams want , I doubt it. I would of thought more likely clubs will not be able to afford 100 mil fees, with 5 yr contracts for another 70 million, pogba type transfers.,even someone like Sterling, a 150 mil commitment, who is going to be paying that type of money.
Barca, and Madrid are trying to fund ground renovation, Liverpool fund a new stand, Everton a new stadium.
City have signed two top youngsters recently, definitely the way forward. Galactico's are history ( For a while)
