Sunderland Post Match Reaction Thread

Tiredness

It would appear that not playing 3 times in a week for the first time in 2 months helps the players perform.

I had a feeling that this performance may have been coming after reading in the training threads that there was a bite again.

I'm glad we are out of Europa. I want that Cup and 2nd.

Yaya and NDJ midfield pairing = mega

IMHO, Yaya and Milner are better choice.

Neither can effectively protect the defence, we'd be overrun unless we were playing Timisoara or someone.

Re: Tiredness

Said that today. I think being out of Europa has done us the world of good. There are more important things to challenge for than that.

Vinnie was just awsome today. By far the best CB in the premiership.

Awesome doesn't do the lad justice mate.

One of the very best performances from a CB at City ive seen today.

From a United fan:

I find I have to laugh at Man City, yet again. On first glance, the result appears to be good. But oh dear !! the facts are, I have rarely seen such scrappy goals & the inflated scoreline was aided by inept Sunderland defenders. Its not as if City swept Sunderland away with a display of fluent attacking football with great goals !!! mis-hit & overstretched shots at goal. All that money spent !!! even the City fans didn,t stay until the end to applaud their joke of a team.....comical & embarrassing

LOL

Absolutely phenomenal performance today. Calm, composed and very capable of filling in at right back even if he is a centre half naturally. He is definately one who should push on to try and make that position his own. Micah has competition! Very proud to see an academy product put in such a good display!
TBH, the last time he played as emergency RB he put in a similarly composed performance. Hopefully he will be given the time to develop into the class player he has the potential to be....

Just thought I'd say good evening to the "Mancini out, Lescott, Kolarov and Yaya Toure etc are crap" brigade.
But I don't suppose there'll be many of them about tonight!
