Carry on as we are and the title is gone, for certain.

United will kick on from here and unless we up a gear - no, make it two gears - we won't catch them.

So how can we up a gear or two? The definition of stupidity is to fail and keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. More of the same is NOT going to get us miraculously banging 4 or 5 a game in.

We need change. Either a new striker (Falcao, anyone?) or a new manager, or some pacey wingers (or start playing Sinclair FFS), or all three.

None of the above = title lost.

Make changes now, or start planning for 2013/2014 and forget this season.

Devastating loss. Mignolet made some nice saves however we let him, and most keepers, off the hook continually in the sense that it seems like we always play the first 75 minutes with the mindset that we get extra points for threading the ball through teams and walking the ball into the goal. When it works it is a thing of beauty but at this point every opponent will come into matches to defend accordingly. We need to commit to quicker breaks when we win the ball defensively as opposed to the slow builds forward as well as take some shots from 20 yards out. Pepper the goal with shots from distance and make keepers earn save after save knowing that deflections, goal keeper mistakes or shots assisted by traffic are worth the same amount of points as any other goal, beautiful or not.

we play to slow, no urgency at all
no variation still, [i.e playing on break, long ball etc]
create no clear opportunities

but...

no difference to any season under 4-2-3-1 formation and zonal marking.
nothing is different to last season
