Sunderland Vs City Post Match Thread

Not the same as racist chanting, but I was disappointed to hear the M****h song from some of our fans.

Other than that, it was a pleasant day out, especially as I haven't seen City win many games away over the decades in the league.

Plus, they are a friendly lot up there.

Heard the Munich chant as well. It's only a minority but still very disappointing to hear.

Was there a ref on the field? Thought he handled the game well which allowed the game to flow.

Credit where credit is due.

It was an easy game to referee but sometimes referee's make games hard themselves.

He got the Boyata foul on Fletcher right and the only other issue was their pen shout which on my stream looked like nothing ( even the second shout in the same move).

For me, this was one of the most important wins of the season. Especially the way we won it. Down 1-0 and winning 1-4.

I think we can win the league. Chelsea are strong and won't lose many matches, but we need to win when they draw.

How many passes in the build up to the 2nd goal? Must of been at least 25
Just watching it on Sky and I counted 30.

I have a mate who is a Sunderland fan, told me about a bit of racist chanting from the Sunderland fans at Yaya with monkey noises etc. Shows the knuckle draggers are still present at some clubs.

Very impressive. Make no mistake, Sunderland were up for it last night and they worked their socks off but were simply no match for us. Best thing about us at the moment is the way we press to win the ball back on the odd occasions that we lose it. We appear to have turned the 5 second rule into the 3 second rule and it stops the opposition building up any kind of momentum.

It's easy to pick Sergio out but it was a great team performance. There wasn't one player out there who didn't play his part. Well done to Pellegrini.

We look a lot more secure when Toure is interested as he has been lately, making our midfield less porous than when he has not been earlier in the season and we end up with opponent midfield players rushing towards our defence.

I think Everton at home will be our biggest test at home so far (even more so than Chelsea). Thus still a big loss not to have Kompany available for that.

If we can overcome Everton and by the next time we play Sunderland in January have 40 pts + we will be better than we were last season against the opponents (or equivalent against promoted teams) we have played thus far.

Beat Everton and then hopefully Roma and we could go on to be set up nicely for Chelsea (A), Arsenal (H) and Everton away in the early weeks of the new year.

Hope this was not the case. Thought such chanting how now stopped.

If nothing else have such people never heard of Frank Swift and not know he perished in that tragedy also ?

As for racist chanting also, Sunderland just need to try and ID anyone and ban them for life and apologise to Toure or anyone it was aimed at, as City should ban anyone ID'd chanting about Munich and apologise to Utd.

Come on City supporters we are better than that.

Two very impesssive back-to-back away wins where we looked like the team that got their momentum exactly a year ago.

Last night all 4 goals were impressive by their own beauty:
-Aguero to hold back half a step for a 'panna' and than let loose a thunderbold.
-Yaya playing a fantastic pass with pace and curve to Aguerro who with the simpliest of touches frees Jovetic to finish with a 'panna' on Pants.
-Nasri and Zaba combining like the two trickiest forewards with the latter sublimelyfinishing it off chiping Pants.
-Milners inch perfect pass, anticipating on a fantastic long run from Aguero who than simply taps in what was not an easy tap-in.

Boyata held his ground and looked very assured and calm. Well done the lad.

Great teamperformance, but we need this run to continue for a while to try and catch up Chelsea. And ofcourse there's a game in Rome in between.

Simply really enjoyed it.
