Super Joey Hart?

absolutely love Joe and wouldn't swap him for anyone, not saying there isn't better but for what that difference might be for me it won't make up for having a lad playing who loves City. saying that on the goal last night is it just me that thought if he just dived he would have saved it but seemed frozen in shock about what happened ? i was watching the replays thinking " just dive Joe "
they ALL make mistakes though and as much as people go on about United not being where they are this year without DE-Gea we wouldn't be 4th without Joe

Based on the
I would say 50 50 to be honest the ball should have been played out wide but that said Fernando was woeful he should have been able to deal with it better.
Yep, there was probably a more sensible out-ball to Ota. The outcome couldn't have been expected or anticipated, however the most sensible option just approaching half-time would always be to alleviate pressure, clear your lines and get into the half-time break 1-0 up. We're not great at playing the ball out from the back when under pressure, and our back 4 can look nervy at the best of times. No doubt Pep will expect and instill this, however just before half-time in a CL match against PSG wasn't really the ideal place for a trial run.

He's clearly feeling the Pep heat, compelled to try and play out more from the back.

I had no issue with the pass to Fernando (the midfielder remember), he had plenty of time, and his technique is at fault.

Hart did likewise in the derby, however, passing to an unaware Demichelis, who under hit the pass pack, which resulted in Joe having to rush out and clear, injuring himself in the process.

Joe did little wrong last night and he kept his long punts to a minimum. Good to see him throwing out quickly a couple of times.

We have plenty of issues and money we need to throw at situations before Joe becomes the priority. Get who we need, and then if we still have money left, then push Joe with competition.

I've watched a few Barcelona games recently. They are the best in the world at playing the ball out and very rarely play the ball long. They don't give a toss about pressure. The defenders drop back, almost to the by line, and the ball goes out to a full back. The full back either plays it forward, either a chip or along the ground, or plays it back to the goalie. The goalie might play it wide to the other fullback or back again to the same full back. What the goalie never does is play it to a defender on the edge of the penalty area who is facing the goal.

You need a calm head to play a sensible ball despite opposition pressure. Then it works fine. It won't work if you've been brought up in the "panic if you see an opponent and CLEAR IT for fucks sake, they can't score if the ball is in row z" school of football.

Nonsense, he often plays the ball straight out to Busquets while he's facing the goal.

Tolmie honestly you got your inside info I just cant for the life of me seeing Joe going as you said for a long time. I honestly think Pep will keep him for the season and see how he operates. Hart is 1 of the leaders in a team that is lacking leaders and as you said there is more issues elsewhere that needs sorting first. I think getting the top 4 is a must for MP and for Peps greater plans we miss out his targets may just turn us down as were missing out on Champions League football. So who we get in and who we dont might go down to the last 3 games of the season. I honestly feel we will come in the top 3 never mind 4th but with the injuries we have its hard at times. Out of the players at the club who i think Pep can build a team around Joe , Kompany , Silva , Kun , KDB Nasri and Sterling and Nacho as of there age the rest would be fearful in the time Pep is at the club and there days will be numbered.

Last night's debacle is the exact reason why Pep is trying to get Ter Stegen. I love Joe with all my Hart but he has these brainfarts everytime he has the ball.

Hart didn't make an error, that was made by Fernando. But I do think that Hart should not have made the pass. 40 minutes on the clock and City ahead. Take your time and play the ball long.

Think he was under instruction to play it short from the back as Aguero, Silva and Navas would have no chance winning long goalkicks against the PSG defence. It was Fernando's mistake but Hart looks slow, laboured and out of his comfort zone when doing it.

looking at the angles JH should try to be in his goal when playing these passes as an added precaution as Ibra didn't know much about his goal at all just made a tackle and it went in
