I could get on board if there was a fair system of relegation and we would be treated fairly by the cartel clubs.Only way I would ever “accept it” would be if it’s a new top division with promotion and relegation based on pitch performances.
I think the English clubs are happy to sit on the sidelines to see which way this goes. At the minute the narrative is "we listened to the fans blah blah blah"
But if everybody is onboard and it looks like happening again then they can sign up regardless of what fans want.
What ever way you look at it, a super league of some format will happen in the near future, due to the amount of money to be made.
So you're against it then?I could get on board if there was a fair system of relegation and we would be treated fairly by the cartel clubs.
There’s no way those big table meetings between the US owned clubs plus the La Liga clubs who all fucking despise City and ‘Abu Dhabi’ had discussions that were favourable to City.I could get on board if there was a fair system of relegation and we would be treated fairly by the cartel clubs.
I thought UEFA were opposed to this Super League?Super League is rearing it’s disgusting head again.
At the moment the English clubs are saying they have no interest with this. If any of us do show interest we will get a 30 point deduction and a £25m fine, so that might have something to do with it.
The UEFA spokesman said, however, ‘things cannot go on as they are’. They are now saying that there will be relegation and it won’t be a closed shop.
Barcelona have sold off revenue for the next 25 years to try and remain a big club in Spain (and look like going out of the group stage of the big boys and guests competition for the second year in a row), Juventus are millions in debt and sitting in 8th in Serie A.Not sure how relegation can work. If you have teams from shit leagues get promoted in they would just go straight down.
And where does this 'it can't go on like this' attitude come from. CL ia already a huge success. And it's not like English clubs win it every year, we rarely win it.
I think it was a propaganda statement from the company building a breakaway game rather than a UEFA spokesman.I thought UEFA were opposed to this Super League?
