Supporters Club tickets

He only gets 200 if he has paid the £50 for platinum,if he hasn't ,he gets 100 points

Yes should have been clearer. That is my issue on ‘fairness’ how can 200 points on the Platinum Carabao cup scheme (for a couple of matches) give you more points than paying upfront for 19 league games?

Its totally wrong, but the focus of these type of threads is always on Supporters clubs.

Thats the incentive City give to get bums on seats I suppose, something else they might start to look at with our growing fan base, they might knock that on the head ( cup schemes ) soon.

The problem is loyalty point holders accuse the supporters clubs of abusing the system.
Non point holders, accuse the loyalty points holders of abusing the system.
When in reality it is City, who are abusing the system.
And unfortunately they have just had their eyes opened wide by the fact that they don't need either group as they have shifted 32000 tickets for the community shield ,without much help, from either the supporters clubs or season ticket holders.

I would not disagree with any of that. We attack each other but the issues are much higher up. Sadly the system is so entrenched now any changes will infuriate a massive section of the support. Hence it wont change, bar a couple of minor tweaks.

One consequence of these anti Supporters Club threads is that I get membership requests from people only interested in tickets. When asked to pay their subs up front they tend to retreat back into the woodwork lol. It’s a double edged sword as we probably get more requests from people willing to make a positive contribution to the Branch.

Oh yes I understand the reasoning. But is it fair? I do not think it is.

I think we will still always struggle to shift tickets for those games, so that incentive will remain. Even United in their pomp had to link cup tickets to season ticket books to shift them.

I hope not. That would mean dealing with the ticket office every time there's a home cup tie. I only reason I do the cup schemes is to avoid them

No worry of that, they just put the minimum price up instead, which they have done this season. I know that only applies to FA and LC.

This season the value of cup schemes was demosnstrable with some fans possibly saving £742 by being on them when comparing the cheapest to the most expensive final tickets for one person. That may be pushing it but a lot will have saved around £400 when just looking at 1 final ticket and the discounts on the cup scheme games.
