Swansea (a) Post Match Thread

I can't believe you're still beating that drum, just let go, he's gone, get over it.

Pour yourself a drink, relax and enjoy......if it makes you feel better you were right all along, i can tell you're the type that needs a cuddle every now and again.

I did find the bit where you tagged your partner in the post a bit embarrassing though

Enjoy the summer ;-)
FYI, my partner is a real life female from who I get all the cuddles I need and not someone on an internet forum I've never met or spoken to. If anyone is embarrassing it's you who has jumped into an exchange (not started by me btw) without first reading what led up to my last post on the matter, but I suppose that's par for the course for you when it suits your inane narrative.

It kills you that you have such a high opinion of yourself, but missed so many obvious and basic football pointers at the time when others whose opinions you don't rate called it correct from the get go regarding Pellegrini. This is an internet forum where fans of Manchester City come to vent and air their views and as such I did just that in a respectful manner toward our manager and if you think I did otherwise prove it and show me where. I was one of many who gave an opinion based solely on what I could see happening in front of me, no crystal balls or soothsaying abilities were needed just a rudimentary knowledge of football.

I've never called Pellegrini by any disrespectful names to warrant the abuse I got, so where were you then when I and others would have appreciated your intervention? Probably sniggering along with the pack eh? Those who agreed with you were mostly left to terrorise this forum on your watch and those who didn't were driven away or made to feel like pariah's with no protection whatsoever. So where was your concern then?

I mentioned @Shaelumstash because he was mentioned by the respondent to my post not because I need an orchestrated army behind me like others did when terrorising anyone who dared criticise Pellegrini. I'm the same on here as I am in real life fella, I'm not a shithouse who can't fight his own battles and needs a gang behind him. This is the truth of the matter as you sit there trying to curry favour with those who shall remain nameless with your crap inane attempt at chest beating, hairy chested, he-man humour.

Soz mate, your attempt at banter has fallen flat on its arse much the same as your take on the early Pellegrini years. It's not my fault, so don't take it out on me and if you have nothing interesting or sensible to say, please don't labour me with your pathetic diatribe. I'm just not interested dude.

You enjoy your summer too, you hear........

The match was abysmal, if anything it summed up our whole season. I find it astonishing that still since the takeover whenever we have a "crunch" match, last game of the season/final etc we can never have an easy game and somehow we always always make hard work of it. Swansea made several changes and had nothing to play for yet our midfield was overrun and we could have easily lost the game.
A big clear out is needed and Navas would be my first casualty, he is shocking.

I'll agree that we were shocking, and also complacent. However, our midfield was not overrun, and Navas (along with the two Ferns) is one of the chief reasons we have managed to hang on to 4th place. Whilst Kun, Ya Ya and Kolarov have downed tools, he's pulled his tripe out and hardly ever gives the ball away. Admittedly his final ball is invariably gash, not that he's ever got anything to aim at, but if ever I had to chose between Navas and the one who can't run or kick a ball properly and falls down every time he's touched, I'd take Navas thanks

I'm amazed you can bear to keep the faith with such a badly run, nepotistic, banana republic of a forum........

Once more for those that didn't see it last night...........

After a summer of rest, I think most fans will take stock and see nothing is guaranteed in this league and even Guardiola will need time. The few who jump on his case at the first draw or defeat will be an irrelevance imo.....

Given you have constantly insisted Pellegrini has had the best squad in the league by some distance and has hugely underachieved, why the complete about turn and dumbing down of expectations for a manager who is clearly a step up from Pellegrini and will no doubt benefit from a huge summer of spending?

Unlike last night, i dont need a 1000 word answer going off on a tangent accusing the world of bullying you and how you knew after the first game he was crap and how we won what we did with Mancini's squad etc, just a straight up answer to a straight up question?

Or is it a case that a draw here and a defeat there was never a luxury you where ever going to afford Pellegrini for reasons known to yourself?

And there you go reverting to the pack mentality type answering for each other.....

Didn't take long for you to flip flop in the opposite direction again did it? Fuckin sad :-)

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I've never had any interaction with Danamy of any kind on here, and until about 15 minutes ago when he made his post, I could no more have told you his standpoint on Pellegrini than I could have surmised King Leopold the 2nd of Belgium's views on whether his hydrangeas should be watered by hand or with a sprinkler.....

Think that is a couple of times you have used that phrase. Totally disingenuous imo. I think you know full well that supporters didn't turn against Pellegrini merely because of "a draw here and a defeat there."

Navas has been half decent in recent games, so it's easy to associate him with helping us to stay in the top 4, but at the same time, the season is 38 games long and a match on day 1 has as much bearing as the final day. A great number of our players have gone missing at times this season, Navas included - some more than others, but overall it's reflected in our final league position.

By our historic standards, many of the players we have today are head and shoulders above the majority we've ever head, but when we compare ourselves to Real, Bayern or Barca at least half of our players are a good way behind both in ability and application.

We've bought ourselves into a very good position as a club - regular CL, attractive to top players and managers, great stadium and a rapidly growing fan base, but the real work's only just begun. If we're to ever be considered a consistent domestic and CL contender, there has to be a merciless work ethos as well as top talent.

We're fragile, and we need to become a machine. The statesman like behaviour of Pellegrini was reflected in our team performances - far too pedestrian.

Its not because the poster I'm addressing has made it clear a couple of hundred times at least over the last 3 years that he knew Pellegrini was crap after the first game against Newcastle which we won 4-0.

Given his insistence on that, plus the fact he claims he has always had the best squad, one that Pep will take over and strengthen then the question I've asked is more than fair imo.
