Swansea v City Post Match Discussion Thread

Swansea are an incredibly well organised team and they took their chance with their goal.

Savic is rightly going to come in for some stick but he's 4th choice centre half and is only playing because of injury. He certainly hasn't taken his opportunity in many matches I've seen him play so far.

We didn't play like a top of the table side and, because of this, we no longer are.

Totally agree. We were awful today. No pace and all this playing around the box and across the back makes me scream. Today we lost the title. Utd wont let this lead slip and we have even harder games to come.

Away form since November is not even top 6 standard.

All started at QPR, where we were without Kompany and were extremly lucky to win.

Since then:

QPR 3-2
Liverpool 1-1
Cheslea 1-2
WBA 0-0
Sunderland 0-1
Wigan 1-0
Everton 0-1
Villa 1-0
Swansea 0-1

10 out of 27 points. 2 goals only in last 6 away games.
Either the players dont have the mental strength to win away from home, which i dont think is the case as we put 6 past Utd, 5 past Spurs, 5 at Wolves in the Cup, 4 at Blackburn before this or its the wrong tactics/team or preperation.

Simply not good enough away from home and this will cost us the title this year

Another dismal performance, but Mancini cannot be blamed for the dire performance of the team. You can question his selection, but when you have £20m+ players all over the park, they have to do better than that.

Savic should be summarily sacked, never to wear the shirt again.

The title race is not over. We are 1 point behind and the slime have to come to us. But we have better fucking grow some if we are to have any chance.

You know, I seem to recall a few months ago when we went out of the CL, FA Cup, Carling Cup etc. that everyone said none of it matters because we're "Top of the league".

You only had to look at our away form to see that we would hand our position over to them at some stage and now we have to face Chelsea next week who certainly won't roll over and we have to go to Stoke... possibly the worst place for a team like ourselves to go to. We have to pretty much win every game now and hope we fuck them over in the derby, I feel more confident winning the derby than Stoke away though.

Got to start asking what happens to Mancini if he doesn't deliver the title? I can't see us settling for Europa League. Does anyone know if he's already been handed a new contract?

everyone can moan at savic, but end of the day thats what happens when you play sideways backwards passes for 80 minutes, no fucking urgency and i hate to say it but weve blown it, utd come good at this stage of the season and aguero, silva and co all looked so short of confidence
