AJ wouldn't have changed much, IMO. Plays wider, yes, but is still slow as fuck. A rapid attacking player is what we need most in the summer, not an RVP. Doesn't even have to be someone that would get into our XI consistently, but rather someone that can come off the bench and give us something different.

Hoilett is far from world class, but he is free in the summer. He would give us a different look at least.

The most frustrating thing is that everyone knew this in Jan but we didnt do anything about it.

or just maybe its because the rags play with width and create danger in their opponents box putting them under constant pressure in the hope that Welbeck, chichorito or shrek gets on the end of cross whereas we pussy foot around the 18 yard box and then pass back creating nothing in the end.

If we had more players than just Silva, and Yaya who can create (*cough* Nasri) then we would create so many more chances.

If either of those two have a bad game, or aren't allowed to express themselves on the pitch we are fucking short of ideas.

Is our midfield as good as we would like to believe?

I usually scowl and mock these type of threads. This one i absolutley can't. Our away support is fantastic, the very least the players could do is walk an extra hundred yards and acknowledge, the fact that these people have paid a load of dosh, on tickets and travel, to see the team play.


Feel for you OP, and all those great people who went today.

I just can't honestly believe what the players did seriously it might not seem much to both but them who have travelled and spent what we have and then to get that off the players is seriously wrong

hi, i am a madrid fan and i follow a bit the premier league...in my opinion you shouldn´t blame Savic since he doesn´t have to score the goals. It looks like every day that you lose is his fault, or dzeko...I think that this summer you need to buy someone for the midfield, able to pass the ball, to allow Silva to breath(everybody is playing now with 2 guys behind him). Yaya, De jong and Barry are other kind of players, more consistent but with not so much skill. I would say some kind of Xabi Alonso to control the game and make long good assistance, etc. Doesn´t matter if you have the best strikers in the competition if there is nobody to feed them. Regards and calm down, the competition didn´t finish yet.
