Swearing

count yourself lucky if i were you!! this is one,of the many, reasons i got so pi**ed off with going to the match and football in general,i gave up my season ticket of 19 years.
my seat was one seat in from aisle next to away fans.on one ocassion, drogba did the most blatant dive in the area, the entire south stand went mad calling him a cheat, and whilst rolling about on deck, sun jihai went over to him and gestured for him to get the f*ck up!! as he took his final step towards drogba, drogba grabbed his own face and rolled about some more as if he'd been stamped on by sun jihai.so i was shouting plenty of obscenities whilst giving the v's.next thing i know, ive been grabbed round the neck from behind, into a headlock, and ripped backwards over my seat, onto floor.luckily 2 coppers came to help me up,unluckily they decided to help the other copper who'd dragged me over my seat, and they all decided to bang my head against the breeze blocks while dragging me into concourse, and threatening my mates with arrest, who were asking what the f*ck id done wrong.my season ticket was taken off me,and a steward ordered to get me banned.of the 5 of us sat together, something similar happened to one lad twice(he got 5 year banning order),and to 2 of the others aswell.it wasnt just us either, quite a few times others near us had similar events which were alot worse.

We need a 'Partizan' section of the ground and move families and newbies to CB leve 3.
Failing that, we need a 'Marzipan' section of the ground and move people who like to eat sweets all through match there.
Failing that, we need a 'Panziram' section of the ground and move people who .......

Fuck me sideways!!

I remember a time when going to the match was a release from the pressures of life. Shouting singing and swearing was half the fun.

As long as you're not,

a/ in the family stand
2/ using the 'c' word
c/ being racist

then i can't see the problem meself. And you can't even watch a game on telly without hearing or seeing swearing so what's their fuckin problem.

OK a stewards point of view - excellent answer Stonerblue, just a couple of things to add, consistant swearing does become tiresome and irratating. I have many swearers in my section and have had to mention that the use of the 'C' word whilst maybe appropriate is not acceptable, but i understand on occasions such as the the tackle by Robinson on SWP it may come out and allowed.

Put yourself in the stewards position for a minute a guy complains to you about the consistant bad language from a fan - do you ignore his complaint and then get reported for ignoring him or B have a quiet word and hope the fan can curtail his language somewhat?

Swearing is expected at a football match and accepted to a certain level but as a stated earlier constant bad language isnt.

I am sure there must be others who swear around this guy so does the original poster swear to an irratating level, I dont know only he will!

I also know that the reason he would have been told to stop pointing is that this could have been seen as intimidation.

If I were the original poster have a word with the Senior Supervisor of the stewards on East Stand Level 2 - a lady called Liz (wears the blue jacket) and get her advice on this.

Hope this helps!

Firstly, my apologies for starting a new topic with so few posts under my belt.

I have a season ticket in the East stand and for the last few home matches the steward nearest too me has told me that someone near me has complained about my bad language on more than one occasion.

Now I know I shouldn't swear, but I don't think I do it any more than anyone else who sits near me. Also the person in question has not even spoken to me about it, nor has anyone else complained.

Last week for the cup match. The steward brought in a senior steward to ask me to tone it down, and I was informed that the complainer has asked for a full report to me made, for the stadium cameras to be on me & for me to be moved.

As I said earlier, I know I shouldn't swear, but I can't beleive that I am the only one out of thousands to swear at a football match.

I intend to reduce the level of my bad language, but the reason for the topic was to ask if there is anything that I can do to cover me with the club, as I feel that I am being singled out for doing something that quite a few people must do each week.

Outside of a football ground, my language tends to be immaculate but watching City I swear like a trooper. I am in 110 and move there mate, everyone swears or doesn't seem to mind.

Just to add, I do not do it intentionally but if you can't release tension at a game then it's going to be a very sad day.

Maybe that's why the atmosphere around CoMS of late is shit? I sit near a lot of families and conservative types and I can tell you, it is like being at a fucking wake sometimes. Besides certain players are enough to make the pope swear at times!

PS: The poxy MUEN has banned all my blogs of late on ALL threads without giving a reason, this despite not being offensive or innappropriate. Anyone else sufferred the same fate?

I think people should be more creative with their swear words. Good swear words really make me laugh. Such as:

You fucking Spam Dangler
Dick Slap
Dick Off (city joke)
