paying a winger £60k or £70k a week when he may well have lost his pace doesn't seem sensible to me.

this is my opinion also. it's not as if he will turn himself into a holding midfielder or a full back when he looses his pace is it?

his is an old fashioned winger who relies on his pace and without that he's up 'sh*t creek'. owens game (for example) was built around pace and now he has lost that yard or two he looks painfully average and I feel that SWP will go the same way all be it in a different postition.

my final point on this debate is I hope (as with Ireland) that SWP can find the form that made us love him in the 1st place!

Personally i feel that SWP is a player that loves city through and through and would love to stay here for the rest of his career. The question is, is he good enough on his current form, and i dont believe he is. I just wish he would run at people more and his final ball improved.
