Time to go and lynch that spursmad guy for lying to us! No more signings after Lescott!? This clearly proves that he is talking out of his ass.

*gets his coat*

no need to get your coat.......this is correct......he stated no more activity......which is obviously not the case...............

Sylvinho might have been a more last minute thing after Lescott said he didn't want to play left back, which left him looking for cover for Bridge.

PLUS, we signed Slyvinho BEFORE Lescott. ;)

I believe we already have a great squad, adding Sylvinho, a well experienced attacking left back will be top notch cover for Bridge for a year while we asses our youth or look at other options, and its on a free, i see no downsides to this transfer... good buisness from the hierarchy at city.

Sylvinho is purely because Garrido isn't good enough. He'll leave now.

Hughes could play Sylvinho against anyone and be confident he'd so the job aswell as if not better than Bridge.

Sylvinho is more like Evra than Bridge, he'll be more of a threat around the opponents area. Not necessarily goals but just good runs and assists.

I don't think anyone remembers this , but when Iniesta scored that goal against Chelsea in CL, Sylvinho was standing next to Guardiola , giving him advice about what to do next. That mean's his experience must be really important to hughes's management team , plus a cover for Bridge.I wouldn't be surprised if he joins as coaching staff at city 2 years from now

I agree. We might not see it all that often, but in certain home games against poor opposition, Sylvinho linking up with Robinho down the left will be very attractive to watch! The opposition would be no match for our "inho's"

Crackin signing by hughes, quality cover at left back and someone to keep robi happy. We've got sylvinho!!!

So, what are we expecting for him wage wise? Would be interesting to find out how much he's on.

He's probably come in to play in the Carling Cup games, to keep our new diamond, Bridge, fit for the Prem season. It's really cool that we are signing players up with the thoughts that they could win us the Carling Cup.

you ok D...??? you seem to be a tad ratty lately.

I'm fine mate, I just re-read that and saw how it came across, I didn't mean it like that. I'm actually really buzzing, the mention of BM by the Chairman, a couple of good signings, and I got offered a new job!

The point that I'm making is that we are making a real effort to win any honour, and are treating the Carling Cup as important as any other silverware. The owners really seem to want us to succeed, and we are doing our best to purchase players who will help us do that!
