Taking our Owners for Granted!

We have a lot to be thankful for. The club is excellently managed and going on match day is fantastic. We are now spoken about in the same terms as Bayern , Madrid , PSg.

Even if the last 3 years have felt a bit disappointing it was still all part of the clubs master plan to get pep as they saw pep as the man to build a club and a legacy on a world scale. We may well look back in 5 years and think bloody hell what foresight to go with pellers , mark time for a few years as we knew pep was coming for long term. Who knows pellers may have always been comfortable with this plan and known for ages that he had 3 years and that pep was coming.

Look at the ground the facilities etc and we should be thankful. We could very easily have been Newcastle. I am really looking forward to the summer and next season.

We could very easily have been Leeds!

I actually dont get this gratitude thing with regards our owner. Some seem to go out of their way to make sure any critism of the club is not aimed at him or could be construed to be. I think they are worried too much negativity on our part could make him think sod it this isn't worth the hassle.

We have had a dud manager for a few years and the transfers have been a bit ropey. Next few years should be better. Either way it is up to our owner to employ the right people. I ain't thankful to him in the slghtest.
Shameful post.

The man has done more for our club and the redevelopment of that area of Manchester than any of us can possibly imagine.

Touche!

I think we are probably more or less agreed on Soriano, I just personally don't mind at all if he doesn't engage with fans, if he did I would find it to be superficial and false anyway. like when you see politicians talking to kids in schools, comes across as insincere, they don't really give a toss what little timmy thinks about the EU referendum ;)

Also agreed on Sterling, going to prove his doubters wrong in the coming years.

On a tangent, I once met Khaldoon and chatted to him for about 10 minutes in the stadium after a match. He was an absolutely lovely bloke, I only regret that I didn't ask him for a job

you ought to phone him, he might find a job for you on sunday morning

So what if we had, we would still have supported the team regardless and moaned as well when needed. The sheikh has his own reasons for investing in us, am I thankful to him? No, did we get lucky as of today yes.

Why is it shameful? I don't get it honestly, ask yourself why he wanted to buy a football club, why was it an English one, why was it city and why has he invested heavily?

When you get those answers my view is perfectly rational

His motives don't matter to me so long as it's not hurting anyone. It's the impact on the club I support that do and I guess the investment and redevelopment of that area of Manchester. I could not give a shit if it's cos he likes the colour blue to be honest . He has put the cash in as equity and not debt so it is true investment.

Are you making some kind of subtle accusation against him?

My life as a city fan and thankfully my son who knows no different has improved. I have watched city In Seville and Barcelona (twice) win the league and cups.

I am thankful everyday that the owner chose city. Clearly you are not. That's fine if that's your view.

Accusation? What the hell are you talking about man, all I am saying is his interests have benefitted us. If someone does you or me a good deed with no benefit to themselves I am thankful, if it is mutually beneficial then fair play.

If I have a nice Big Mac should I be thankful to Ronald McDonald? No

For clarity I am not accusing Ronald McDonald of anything

Some fans can't see beyond the emotion of the situation, I understand that
