That's right Alvin. The team that since the opening day of the season has only managed to beat the PL's worst two sides that are not only bottom of the league but are already cut adrift from the rest.

Fuckin priceless :)
I've been doing a bit of research and I don't want to bore readers off, but the EPL has now completed 18 full seasons in it's present format, and in that time, only on three occasions has the title been won by a team that became champions with less than 80 points. The average number of points now required to win the league is 86, a figure that has been exceeded or equalled in 11 of these 18 seasons, and interestingly all of these title winning totals have occurred in the last 14 seasons. There is a high, and consistent, level needed to become champions now, and to put it into another context, a title winning team will need to amass points at an average of 2.25 per game to have a realistic chance of winning the trophy. It is OK for all these pundits to say that the season is in its early stages and that a deficit of eight points can soon be made up, but what these same pundits fail to realise is that even now, the teams that are likely to be in the mix are right up there and are close to the average required. To put it another way, it is now a 30 game season as far as the rags are concerned, and to end the season with 86 points, they will now have to average a whopping 2.5 points per game right up to the end. If they were to complete a whole 38 game season at 2.5 points per game from start to finish, they would have equalled the record, 95, set by Chelsea in 2004-05 season. That is the magnitude of the task the rags are faced with. Chelsea were a great side, the rags are not, and there is no way that they can compete for anything other than the consolation prize of a top-four finish.Smithy34 said:laserblue said:richardtheref said:Listening last night about 9.50pm and Alvin Martin only says that we will not win the league as we are too inconsistent. Murry was asking Jimmy Bullard and some daft woman:
'who had the better result last night united or City?
So lets get this right, we travel halfway accross europe with a 3hour time difference, to play away in sub zero temperatures on a $hit pitch with a hostile atmosphere, and come away with a 1-2 win after being a goal down to the team ranked 2nd in our group.
Whereas united win 1-0 at home against the 4th ranked team in their group courtesy of a 1st minute own goal!
this station is an absolute joke! ha ha!
