That's not right at all. Although, the culture seems very different. The importance of match day and following your club all over, though thick and thin isn't the same. They can't really be compared.
And to be honest, American football is on for so long, and play is so interrupted that you're probably better off watching it on the tele.
If you don’t think NFL fans follow their teams through thick and thin you’re misinformed. Their season starts in September and finishes the beginning of Feb but they spend the seven months when it’s not on talking about it. There’s daily TV shows and endless discussions, NFL fans are completely invested in their clubs, it’s expensive as well, last week was Tampa hosting Green Bay, tickets started at $315 (around £300 for big standard seats.

I'm not saying no fans flow their teams. I'm sure there are fans that are invested in their clubs. I'm saying the culture and passion is completely different. Football is massively ingrained in British culture. I'm sure American football is important to a lot of fans over there but there's no way you're telling anyone it's the same as football is here. Some clubs even move to different cities and change their names for a start.

This is just one article on the obsession NFL Fans have with their “football”, there’s plenty of others.

Not trying to be clever, but its a blogpost selling display cases. :)

Interested in why football is so popular in the US though, got a good article I could have a go at?

No doubt the Country loves its American Football and they do talk about from the draft, fixtures, camps etc to the relatively small season.
I can only speak for the Washington Commanders whose fans are fickle as fuck.
Currently a Green Bay v Tampa game is big news Hammo

I know pal, I was in the region last Sunday when the game was on, not a fan at all but thought I’d go just for the experience until I saw the ticket prices.

Ha yes my daughter and son in law are on holiday next month.
SIL is mad on sport and wanted to see the Buccs but froze at the prices :-)

Many years ago, Mrs Vienna investigated the possibility of us attending a Miami Dolphins game, as that is my NFL team.

She too decided against it, when she saw how expensive the tickets were.
