Taylor for the Liverpool game

I don't think Vinnie should have been sent off but my point is a bent ref could have easily sent him off for that and pep too. Think the ref was fair enough yesterday and he honestly missed the sterling pen.

'Honestly missed the Sterling pen'? 55000 fans saw it but he 'honestly' missed it? Yeh right.

Having seen Kompany's challenge from the different camera angles I think he was lucky not to see red, he was off the floor which is usually interpreted as being out of control.

There is no 'out of control' in the laws.

Was it reckless? If so, yellow.
Was it with excessive force? If so, red.
Was it endangering an opponent? if so, red.

I don't think there was a scissoring (cf Hojbjerg's shocker), so it failed on the latter two options.

The whole world has to agree that Vinny should have been sent off otherwise we have beat them fair and square.

The description of the tackle as being off the ground and out of control is just RDAHMeedya bullshine. Vinny was in perfect control, beautifully timed tackle, dispossessed Salad AND comes away with the ball. If that is not being in control I don't know what the fuck is! Those bastards were after a red card from the word go. Just compare Klopp's assessment of Vinny's tackle to his view of Mané's 'tackle' on Eddie last season. Vinnie red; SadMan yellow! Klopp is a Teutonic version of Wenger - never sees a fuckin' thing his side does but always wants the maximum sanction thrown at opposition. Sanctimonious bastard!

Tinted specs off, for Vinnie it was borderline and had it been on us then I think we would all have been calling for a red.

The only thing that saved him which makes it a yellow for me was the lack of any real contact. More contact with that tackle though and I think he is potentially injuring someone which puts it in the red card area.

Robertson hauling Sterling to the ground was also a stonewall penalty (in the replays anyway). He had two arms round him and just brings him down to stop his movement.

Thought the ref did fine though anyway considering the pace of the game.

And it would have been yellow, or nothing, or not even a free kick!!

would agree with that.

He reffed the game fine. VK was an 'orange' and the penalty decision is one of those you get some weeks and not others. Considering the pace of the game thought he was fair.

Klopp is an absolute disgrace for likening that challenge (one-footed, won the ball, hardly touched him) to a head high studs up kick in the face that left Eddie on oxygen needing to have his face stitched back together.
I wonder if anyone in the media will call him out on it.......

It’s a good job Rooney was not on the pitch bending the refs ear otherwise he would have definitely been off as it looked exactly like that derby tackle. Speak as you find but I thought Alty red had a good game.

That's what it comes down to.
VK was off his feet which may be enough for 'reckless', and his left foot caught Salah's right foot (in the air or it could have been a bad injury). Didn't seem worse than yellow to me.
We have had players sent off for far less than the Vinny tackle, so I will give some credit to Taylor on that one.

However Liverpool have had penalties for far less than Robertson's grab at Sterling so I am marking him down on that one along with the foul on Fernandinho that nearly resulted in a goal for Salah.

Also I will never forgive him for his display in the Chelsea home match a couple of years ago with his failure to dismiss Luiz and his handling of the late Fracas when Aguero got his matching orders but the "agent provocateur" Fabracas got away scot free.

And how he gets to referee City and Scum matches when he lives in Altrincham is an utter disgrace on behalf of the powers that be.
