Taylor for the Liverpool game

Don`t forget that most 4th Match Officials are from this list also.Maybe time to free them up and use slightly lesser referees ... its hardly rocket science to be the 4th Match Official.
Is it ? ;)

I think they've already picked up on this. Swarbrick seems to be one of the main men for VAR, and it's made for the older refs to move into.

Are you saying every decision that requires VAR would be shown on the screens at stadiums (those that have them) and the ref’s decision is talked through with who, the fans, the managers, players? That would massively slow the game down!

You have to let refs do their jobs.

It wouldn't need everything putting on the screen. Most RU examples have the ball dead when they're reviewed. Most can be dealt with as they were at the WC - the VAR team review as the match goes on.

Getting the balance between being correct and fast is the conundrum to be solved.

Funny you should say that.
Talking to some Burnley fans this morning and they were furious with it.
We came to the conclusion it will only be fair and transparent when the ref’s decision is talked through whilst showing it on the big screen

Some of the mid-table clubs like United don't have big screens mate.

By all accounts awarded Oldham an identical penalty today to the one he didn't give to Sterling on Thursday.
