Columbia is the best place to go on tour if you are into your drugs I would imagine. Its bad enough for family and friends when you lose someone, hopefully it will not be a death that is drug or depression related RIP seemed a decent blokeApart from the past history with drugs. No matter how clean you are in later life, that's always going to fuck your body up.
So sad to see him pass, a genuinely nice guy and a great drummer.

I know it was in Columbia but I'd suggest heart issues rather than drugs. It's also incredibly hard to score anything in Columbia, especially if you are a rock star in a hotel with a past history.The Daily Fail surprisingly leading with the possibility his death was also drug related.

Have read several reports coming out of the area that drugs are involved. I know he did OD some years ago. Sad if he has relapsed.

Yeah, got tickets for that gig too. Will be the umpteenth time I’ve seen them. Like you say, not arsed whether it goes ahead or not but going forward, I’m struggling to see how he can be replaced as he really was that good. Bands often fill the void after the death of a member and carry on but it won’t feel the same watching the Foos without Taylor around.Shocking news.
Superb drummer and seemed like a great guy.
Got tickets to see The Foos in June - not bothered what happens about the concert - but very sad that we won't get to see Taylor perform again.
Sympathy goes to his family.

I hope I’m wrong but I just can’t see that Dave Grohl will want the band to continue. Kurt Cobain was bad enough but Dave having known Taylor for 25 years and he was very close to him almost like a brother he will be absolutely devastated.

Someone like Taylor Hawkins doesn't need to go to Colombia to get drugs, he'd get just as good stuff at any big hollywood party.
The reason they're there is every big band does basically the same South American tour. They all play Rio, Sao Paolo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Bogota, Lima. Usually they time it to hit the big festivals which end up having almost identical lineups from one week to another in Chile, Colombia and Brazil.
Those are going on over this month and why Foo Fighters and a bunch of other bands are in South America right now - The Strokes are doing an identical tour.
