S.Eto'o - 20-25m

My friend, bayern allready paid 25 mil euros to buy ribery 2 years ago so i really doubt they'll sell him for 25 to any club. If anything, i'd say he's price is around 40 mil euros right now......

Re: Team for the opening day of next season

Hi, I am a new forumer
I like to have my say about the city players and the team in general. When City wants to be one of the greatest clubs (top 4 in PL)next season it should buy and sell a lot of players. A lot of players aren't good enough. In every line defence, midfield, attack city should do some transfers.

Like shopping in Bayern:
1 Vanbuyten (best mate of Ribéry and can convince him to come)
2 Lahm
3 Ribéry
+- 55 million euro

Valencia:
4 Silva
+-25 million euro

Real:
5 Sneijder
+-20 million euro

Chelsea:
6 Mikel
7 Alex
change with robinho and sturridge

Everton:
8 Fellaini
Jo back
+- 25 million euro

9 targetman?

Keepers OK
Defence:
Zab-kompany-alex-Lahm
(Van B,Bridge,Onuoha)

Midfield:
----Mikel------
--------Sneijder-----
Silva----Fellaini-------Ribéry
(De Jong, Petrov, Ireland, Swp)
Attack:
----------Jo---------------
(Bellamy,....)

The only players I'm rating as good enough for playing in a top team for the moment are Given, Zab, Kompany, (Jo,SWP?). Some are good enough for the bench like Ireland, Petrov, Hart, De jong, sturridge, Bellamy.
The rest is'nt good enough like Richards, Dunne or aren't a teamplayer like Robinho

Re: Team for the opening day of next season

Robinho, a world class player in bad form. And Sturridge who is potentially going to be awesome. For Alex, average at best. And Mikel, who is very over rated, and we have De Jong and Kompany. I think I would rather stick with our 2 and buy the players we need, no need to swap. Also it's good to dream, but I can't see us getting Eto'o, Henry, Villa etc... So I would try and buy Van Der Vaart (not getting much first team for Real I hear), Negredo from Almeria is doing well in La Liga, Garay from Racing Santander (on loan from R. Madrid I think), Fernando from Porto (had a great game against the rags), Grafite from Wolfsburg (he is doing awesome), Farfan (Schalke, Back up for RW and LW), Anelka (proven scorer in the premiership, have a go at me, i'm not fussed). Then loan out/sell/release: Evans, Benjani, Mills, Vass, Fernandes, Ben-Haim, Jo (not sure what to do with him), Hamann (We have better players now, and he is too slow), Etuhu, and Caicedo. I may have missed some, never mind. This would give us a strong squad and the crap players wont have to feature.

The only reason why whe should sign Van der Vaart is his Sylvie.
There are a lot better controlling/attacking midfielders like Sneijder (has to leave real) or Moutinho (sporting). Grafite is already 31 and at Wolfsburg there are better players for example Dzeko and Misimovic.

May be we can find a couple of good players at the ligue 1. Bastos and definitley Hazard from Lille are world class. I've we want to sign Hazard we have to be quick. Inter, Chelsea, Real, Arsenal and a lot of other topteams are in the race for this 18year old.
