We will have different teams for different games this season IMO and Blackburn Away will be tough Away game to start with, I actually dont think both Robbie and Tevez will start on the opening day!

But why would you take out Robinho for a physical match, and then replace him with Petrov who's even more of a wuss?

pace... and he can sap all their strength as they try to catch him and kick him to death... the pop Robbie on to waltz around the bodies

GK: Given

RB: Zabaleta
CB: Onouha
CB: Lescott
LB: Bridge

RM: Wright-Phillips
CM: Barry
CM: Ireland
LM: Robinho

F: Tevez
F: Adebayor

Subs: Taylor, Mee, Garrido, Weiss/Johnson, De Jong, Bellamy, Santa Cruz.

The thing with that starting 11 I said is, it might be too attacking and I would like De Jong to play as well, but I can't think of a suitable formation to get him in with the other players I would want. I wouldn't want to drop Ireland, but, I also wouldn't want to change formations to a 4-3-3 and drop SWP, even though that would fit De Jong in, but, it might be better than that starting 11 with a 4-4-2 that I said.

I think we will be too exposed in the middle of the park. Need 3 in the middle. That is where the game is won. I do however feel more and more that we lack depth in the middle. Zab is OK, Johnson question mark, Elano set to leave? We need another box-to-box midfielder with a fighting attitude to give us those points away from home to cover Ireland and Barry.

My concern with playing a three in the middle - i.e. Barry, Ireland and De Jong with say both Tevez and Robinho is that we may be out numbered if it works more than 4-3-3 rather than 4-3-2-1.

SWP works hard and away at Rovers he would be a starter for me.Tevez also works hard so he would play and a physical presence (either ade or Santa) would be with him - Ade for me.

Mine would be if we get Lescott etc...

- - - - - - - - - Given
- Richards - Nedum - Lescott - Bridge
- - - - - - - - de Jong
- - - - - Ireland - - Barry
- - Tevez - Adebayor - Robinho

Subs:
Taylor
SWP
RSC
Elano
Dunne
Zabaleta
Johnson

Something tells me he won't play Robinho in this game.
Perhapsyt he thinks it'll be too physical for him. Just a feeling.

Soi, it could be:

-------------Given-------------
Zab --Dunne---Terry------Bridge

----Ireland--De Jong--Barry-- --
-----------Tevez-------------

-------RSC------Ade----------

Or maybe Petrov instead of Ade and a 442.

Do you really think he will play Dunne instead of Ned or Micah? To me, it seems not that likely that Dunne would even be with us when the season starts, as the boss is clearly ready to bolster the defence substantially.

If we get Terry and Lescott. I know Kompany is injured but I mean for a team over the season.

Given

Zab Onouha Terry (C) Lescott

Kompany
Barry Ireland

Tevez Robinho
Adebayor

Bench- Taylor, Micah, Bridge, SWP, De jong, Petrov RSC

What a fuckin team and bench!!!!!!
Getting really excited now :) :) :) HAPPY DAYS

Not sure about the back 4 but I agree with the front six. Robinho struggled away all last season so I think Hughes will use this game as the opportunity to show Robinho that this season he can't turn up only when he feels like it. Just so happens our team looks fooking good without him in it as well!
