The empty seats this year is embarrassing.
It gets worse by the year
Try and get tickets for any day and you have no chance.
Why queue from the night before ?

Oh I’m so glad. You keep on going and enjoying. I bet it’s a great experience. Who did you see play? Were the strawberries and cream excellent? :-)
Both the mens doubles semifinals, the queue for strawberries was horrendous they will have to wait for another time.

Oh the Rinky Hijikata and David Pel game was spectacular. I'm really looking forward to their final with Cash and Glasspool. But I'm not sure who I will be cheering for..... the British men because they are Brits or Rinky and David because they never played together before Wimbledon. :-)

How is Sinner ahead of Alcaraz in the rankings? He was banned for 3 months and they’ve won the same number of slams within the year.

He's had better results in the past year, it's that simple. Every tournament gives out points for reaching a certain stage, all the points you earn in the past 52 weeks are added together.

Slam wins (2000pts) are not that big a deal in terms of ranking points at the VERY top because the other person is getting to the semis (800pts) or finals (1300pts) as well.

Going deep in every competition you enter is the main thing, as well as going to as may of the big points tournaments as possible.

If Alcaraz beats Sinner in the final, he'll actually be further behind him in the rankings then he is now, because Alcaraz is defending the 2000 points he got last year at wimbledon, if he does any less than win, his ranking will go down as last years wimbledon points expire and this years get added.

Meanwhile Sinner only got 400 points at Wimbledon last year, so when they expire and get replaced by this years, his points will go up by 900 if he reaches the final and 1600 if he wins it.

Djokovic is 38, and he's not at his peak, but he really isn't that far off, and seeing Sinner absolutely destroy him is scary.

The next decade of tennis is going to be incredible, I just hope we get a 3rd player who reaches Alcaraz and Sinner's level, because the big 3 era was much more fun than Rafa/Roger era.

Cheers. Alcaraz has played more tournaments, but obviously accrued fewer points in them.

Pel looks the weak link his serving was erratic, the two British lads served brilliantly. The first semifinal was a very enjoyable match the crowd fell in love with Rinky. i am rooting for the home boys.

Djokovic's major winning days are up.

He's never beating Alcaraz or Sinner in a best of 5 sets.

Probably but I wouldn’t put it past him to win the US or Australian. I think the weather will be a big factor going forwards too. He was dying out there and the heat seems to really exacerbate the age gap.

Well, if what these guys serve up on Sunday is three-quarters as good as what they did in Paris, then Centre Court is in for a real treat. In fact, I think we're in for many treats in the years to come.

It's a bit incredible how these players keep upping the ante. At the end of the nineties, I would have said that Sampras had served up a level of tennis, over years, that would not be equalled again in my lifetime. Then whoops, along came a guy called Federer — then a guy called Nadal — then a guy called Djokovic. And I had to revise it all.
Now these two…
Technically, this tennis is as good as anything in the past. Athletically, it's better.
Only — the other night I watched on Youtube a documentary on the Connors/McEnroe rivalry. That was a real scrap, wasn't it? Between two players who genuinely disliked each other. You don't quite get that now. I miss it, a bit.

The points system kills the players. It is relentless.
Much better to use, say, best 8 or 10 results and allow players a rest.

Same as every sport - Players want money, sponsors want players at the tournaments they pay big bucks for.

Had a fantastic day at Wimbledon yesterday, I am definitely going back.
