Tenuous connections to Manchester City players old and new.

Steve Lomas Sunday league team been us in some regional final in mid 80s. Sure Wayne Harrison played in that as well. Signed for scousers then did his knee.

Paul Mouldens school team beat us in semi of Manchester school cup, 3-2. He scored the winner, we'd pissed on them but our forward unable to lift the ball over the puddles in the goal mouth, missed about 3 open goals. Mid 80s

Steve Kinsey used to come in our shop in gorton when visiting his mum or gran, can't remember which. I remember him saying 'I'm there to make sure it's not easy for defenders', funny

Worked with walkers mum for many years, still in contact.
She's not in the know though, when I asked Kane or Haaland, told to put my money on Kane

Denis Laws (3rd, I think) son was in my form at school. Met Denis a couple of times round his house.
My Dad did some plumbing work for Willie Donachie.
Dad also knew Harry Godwin in some capacity, but I can't remember details!
I used to work with Andy Hinchcliffes brother. He would get to borrow AH's snazzy sports cars when he went on holiday and he would take us for blasts in them.
I also worked with Tony Vaughan's cousin.
I once offered to wash Mike Channons car, but he declined.

I used to get my ticket through a guy who got them from Lee the groundsman because he worked with his dad

Got given 2 bottles of water at Wembley by Joe Royle as Sir peace frog & I were sat next to the bench & he could see how hung over we both were

I work with Jimmy Meadows' daughter

I was asked to jump start Jeff Whitley's car by his girlfriend who lived on my street & he popped round for a brew a few days later to say thanks
:) hi A H :)

My mum's cousin, Peter Donaghue, (my first cousin once removed) led a consortium to buy City and organised a protest to remove chairman Albert Alexander in the mid 60's and had a rally at the Free Trade Hall.

An agreement was made for all parties to work together and Joe Mercer was appointed manager..... the rest is history.....

For added info, Peter Donaghue owned a string of laundrettes across South Manchester.
So rather than eventually being owned by a Rental TV Salesman, we could have been run by a bloke with a laundrette empire!
I was at that meeting. I thought that Alan Douglas was chairman at the time and Albert Alexander took over shortly afterwards. I may be wrong. I recall Peter Donahue and Chris Muir (a Labour councillor for Baguley) being present at the meeting.

The club were going nowhere and discontent from the supporters led to the Forward City movement and the meeting. The directors were making comments about the losses likely to lead to player sales. Sure enough Wagstaffe was sold to Wolves over Christmas really caused a mood.

The message obviously (eventually) got through and in came Johnny Crossan and later Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison.

I was in the same class at primary school as Kevin Reeves' daughter when I was about 5. I think I went to his house for a birthday party. 1986ish so after he'd retired.

Played in the same school team as Darren Beckford through High School.

Steve Kinsey tried to pick up my girlfriend back in '82 when City visited Cork to play a friendly. (Won 4-0) Anyway, she didn't take him up on it.
Oh and I did say hello to Trevor Francis at the hotel where they were staying too.
