Darren and Jason went to Burnage didn’t they? Lived a few streets away from their house on Clitheroe Rd in Longsight.
The Bennett brothers lived on a street in between, Montgomery Rd, directly opposite my primary school. Often use to see Paul Power etc dropping them off after training when we were on afternoon playtime
Good but, not quite right. *Fraud by false representation?
That's classy .I got to know Neil Young in the last years of his life.
In 2016, I wrote about him.
Yeah loads of kids from our end of Longsight went to Burnage, even though Central was miles nearer. Think it depended where your primary school wasYes, Burnage. Darren was same year as me and Jason I think was two years behind. No idea where they lived though. Never knocked about with him out of school.
Ah, small world ! My Dad was Mr Johnson who taught Physics & Maths at Wilbraham for many years, became Deputy Head then acting Head.Who was your Dad Blue Theatre if you don’t mind me asking? I was at school with Roger at Wilbraham, played in the same school team as him, the Nixon’s lived up the road from me in Withington and Alex Williams is Hon President of our supporters club. Your Dad quite possibly taught me.
I was driving down a side street in Manchester, near to where his shirt shop or offices were. He drove towards me, the wrong way down a one way street. When he stuck two fingers up at me, I panicked, thinking I was the one going the wrong way. I quickly turned onto another street thinking I was about to get arrested. I then realised he was in the wrong. He was one of my heroes though, so I forgave him. Must have been around 1986.Ha ha, he did the same to me. I was cycling past his house in Romiley and I stared too long at him. He thought I was being rude but I was just a starstruck kid.
