Has it had a lick of paint since it was opened in '97?
I only ask because the seat i was in was almost white not red
And dont even get me started on the pitch
Oh and whats with only having boxes on one side of the stadium?
So are you suggesting we paint the sun faded seats rather than replace them. When you actually own your own ground then you can come back and criticise ours. Even the Mags own the stands at their council tip. Bearing in mind the winter we have had the pitch looked excellant and pisses on your pitch during the winter. Obviously you can't remember the sand pit that was Maine Road in the winter. Not a patch on the Roker Park bowling green.
why no comment on the 619 at Everton - embarrrassed - thought so!

Great comeback....

Believe me there are no bigger divs in the country than Utd fans. You run them a close 2nd though......Enjoy your relegation battle sunshine.

Owned haha

It makes me cringe when I hear fans from other clubs reciting Red Issue shite. It beggars belief.

Enjoy your relegation dogfight whilst singing other club's tunes dishing out abuse on the internet based on other club's rivalries.

Why should we own it? we have a mint deal on a 250 year lease.. why spend 300 mill buying it? You know full well our owners wealth we could buy that ground 500 times over and not blink.

Man city sign 1 billion pound deal with manchester city council to regenerate east manchester. I think you should ask the sheik for a borrow that horrible 1 horse town yoiu call sunderland is in serious need of regeneration.
I don't live in Sunderland. I live in a very nice town just outside. So I can happily say Manchester is a fucking shithole in my eyes, full of unemployment, poor housing, drugs and high crime. I couldn't give a fuck what Sunderland looks like. Apart from driving through and going to the match I never go there. Im a Geordie not a Mackem so it really doesn't concern me.

-- Mon Mar 15, 2010 10:42 pm --

I still you have still failed to answer to the attendance statistics. You know the FACTS.

Please try again. Ta.

firstly i'll admit our away following this season has been disapointing , but from yesterday's programme these are the what other teams took to sunderland this season:
Chelsea (tuesday) 1533
Blackburn (sat) 855
Hull (sat) 2000
Liverpool (sat) 2366
West Ham (sat) 1699
Arsenal (sat) 3182
Portsmouth (sat) 491
Villa (tuesday) 640
Wolves (sun/sky) 1263
Everton (boxing day) 2211
Stoke (mon/ESPN) 505
Wigan (sat) 504
Fulham (sun) 266
Bolton (tuesday) 799

and for the record Sunderland only took 619 to Everton for a wednesday night sky game , so maybe our following yesterday was maybe not that bad taken in context

So let me get this straight, we are being criticised for only taking 2000 fans to Sunderland when it was on a Sunday and on TV and Everton and Liverpool both took the same amount for Saturday games not on TV AND coming from a club who only took 619 to Everton?

You cannot make it up.

dear o dear how deluded and sad can you get?, if your club were that big then surely you would have no time to post on another clubs forum as you would have too much going on your own to be interested in our clubs forum.....

truth is mate your a crap club with fairweather fans, from a shithole town living in the shadows of your bigger rivals who are both a div below you.....

youve got the elephant man we've got manchini
youve got frazer richardson, keiron richardson and fat boy reid, we've got tevez adebayor bellamy
you will never be able to attract big players due to your shit location, were one of the uk most vistied coolest cities.
How many players are going to the world cup from sunderland? hmmm

to try and say your bigger than CITY is laughable.....
leeds, forest, leicester, newcastle, derby all bigger clubs than you.

We had around 900 actually. They also had a cash turnstile that night. No one takes many to Woodison nowadays. We had a surprising 2500 last season. According to my Everton marra Citeh had 800 there two seasons ago and it's only down the road. Couldn't imagine us taking that many to Burra.

Enough said!! SUNDERLAND ARE MASSIVE!!

So let me get this right. In terms of % Sunderland are 16th, and even behind a team in Portsmouth, no disrespect to them as i have a soft spot for them, whose fans admit they are all but relegated.

Is this guy a comedian? The only decent thing to come out of Sunderland apart from AJ is The Mackem Mover

According to his close friends and schoolmates he supported Manchester United and not Sunderland. When you start selling out every match away you begin to be considered a big club. Until then you will always just be Citeh.

wrong again. He just admired giggs!

I do every game but people are sick of goin to shit holes like Sunderland where your told to sit down all game and get treated like shit. Fair enough the stewards left us yesterday.

I have always thought Sunderland were ok but you strike me as very jealous of our new found wealth.
