Sunderlands away support is good but if you lived in sunderland you'd look for any excuse to get away from the place.

We share a city with (hate to say this) the most successful club in english football! we have Liverpool, everton, blackburn, bolton, wigan all with small radius all prem clubs which can impact on support!

Yesterday was the first chance for me to go to Sunderland the place or the ground and I quite liked it. As for our support, it's wasn't great, but then again neither was Sunderland's! However, I will never slag anyone else off for not going to a game, I happen to be lucky right now and have the chance to go to pretty much all our games. MANY fans up and down the country no longer have the chance, due to work, cost or family commitments. The bottom-line is after a long season by the middle of March a Sunday afternoon watching a Steve Bruce managed team when it's on the box, isn't everybodies cup of tea(including many Sunderland fans).

Yeah, i agree. We did have crowds of 35k in the prem. But thats when we were at Maine Road which had a capacity of 35,191.
Being honest, its easy for fans of a small club like Sunderland to go to City and fill the ground as its the only way you'll see decent players.
Anyway, thats all im saying on this cos of you're silly 35k talk. 10years and counting mate. 10 years

You're a crap away day simple as, look at our recent / next away fixture - Chelsea sold out £48, Fulham sell out at £49 a ticket, Burnley Sold out £35 - 3 weeks in advance, Arsenal only single tickets left and still 6 weeks away.
