Terrorist attack on asylum centre

I've given you the answer. Leave it to professionals.

Like we do for every other group in need.

Some of the refugees will have never lived in accommodation with electric and gas, and not know how to access services or speak basic English.

They can't just be plonked with a house.
And when they get £40 a week and have no recourse to public funds, they would soon be in debt and starving.

Who are the professionals ( not bodie and doyle )

Kent is getting over run, our hospitals are blocked, schools over full etc. My area ( I live about 2 miles from manston ) we have people coming of boats just disappearing, reports of homes being broken into etc.

This has been going on for decades I use to see on a regular bases around 5am when going to work people getting out of the back of lorries and just running away. Followed by police cars everywhere.

We now have areas that are ghettos like cliftonville, you dont go there after dark. The hand car wash was run by a bloke in London using slave labour and was catch.

So the professionals havent been doing a good job. Both thanet MP's are a joke and only interested in getting manston airport reopen ( one MP is a director of an aircraft company ) . The company they back is run by a struck off solicitor for miss use of clients funds ( nicking ). This ex solicitor is going to raise 500 million to open said airport lol.

Thanet is a cesspit, a rundown area with a dodge council ( TDC ) who have spent millions ( our taxes ) fight bullying but found guilty.

This problem at manston doesn't surprise locals sadly, someone somewhere will be making alot of money again out of this.

Manston had huge problems when it was used as a lorry park a few Christmases ok. Not enough toilets, washing areas, food areas etc. These more drives were stuck on a very exposed windy runway.

Manston has history of not being well organised, but every time someone makes loads of money.

This is abit of a ramble but we are not surprised by manston, our MP's of council, it's a corrupt area.

Yes, precisely. They aren’t professionals, a rabble of cynical, self-serving arseholes abusing the responsibilities of their elected offices and ministries.

So much wrong?
Like what - nobody having an answer to the problems?
Of you would like to provide is all with the answer?
I would say the obvious answer is to build more homes - this would surely help the situation and get them out of the hotels/immigration centres

I gave you the answer. More immigration. For refugees/asylum seekers allow them to take jobs and contribute to society rather than trying to recreate a carry on version of a concentration camp.

More labour allows more building of homes, schools and infrastructure. We can then bring in more doctors, nurses, teachers and start building an economy fit for all of us. The ability to see a GP within a day, smaller class sizes for example

The original post/question was not directed to you. It copied your post in at the time - i’m unsure why?

As they are waiting over a year for their asylum claim to be ratified I'd say that applies already. There was a lady from one of those charities who help and support people who come here who said she is helping a lady who is a qualified midwife - you know midwives? Those people who help with babies who are quitting the NHS and we can't recruit enough of? She is a midwife and we won't let her work. Its just fucking mental - all to appease some people who don't like forriners.

Exactly, and these people are waiting for Asylum claims to be heard (with very high acceptance rates), so they're not going to just run away into the Kent countryside to be illegal immigrants if you let them join the workforce.

@Man-chester copperpot is not wrong to talk about practical solutions like housing but asylum is not really a practical problem, it's entirely political.

Asylum is unpopular because the Mail et al. have used refugees and immigrants as a bogeyman for 100 years. The kindertransport in WW2 was only "kinder" because British people didn't want (mostly Jewish) adults coming into the country en masse.

If it wasn't deemed a political hot potato because x% of the electorate has been resolved to be firmly against all immigration/asylum then we would sort this out in a year.

I think the place to start is to form a consensus on an acceptable amount if asylum grants to be given out (I've seen 0.05% of the population used as a hypothetical level, aka 40,000 p/a which is about 30-50% more than now) and from there you can start devising a sensible system of allocating those places.

The governments current method of trying to keep numbers down by making every single grant of asylum as difficult as possible to get and deliberately inflicting misery as a deterrent and using a deadly channel crossing to thin out numbers is both ineffective and shamefully inhumane.

I do wonder if tory voters (which Kent obviously is mainly) can see that it is the tories making immigration issues worse in Kent.

To be honest alot of people in kent live in nice areas hence ghettos forming.
Thanet is a dump but when it comes to voting they are lots of very nice villages in the area who vote tory.

Areas like ramsgate town council is labour. Ramsgate is a labour area but all the little villages outnumber ramsgate so south thanet is tory. The same with north thanet, cliftonville etc.

To alot of kent people immigration doesnt affect them, until they use the hospital.

So much of this is down to the conditioning of our population. Much as those who watch and laugh at the Russian TV "heads" who spout off about the SMO, many Brits do the same about Immigration without actually thinking things through. Then you get the paranoia where they say.. " you can't talk about Immigration without people calling you a racist".
As @BobKowalski says, we have to accept that immigration is good and that by welcoming them in will be a benefit to the country as a whole. You cannot demonise every immigrant for the few bad ones that will come in....because believe it or not there are huge numbers of "bad ones" who walk in now quite freely and "legally".
Totally agree with @domalino in that we also need to "do our fair share" and issue more family re-union/humanitarian visas. Doing this abroad can only help cut out the traffickers, although sadly, where there is money to be made you will never eradicate it totally.
I also think that the place to start, has to be some sort of "amnesty", a clearing of the decks to grant those in the system some legal status. Start afresh then with a leaner better system that is clearer and cannot be abused and manipulated by myriad legal challenges.

Those that would make money out of this - human trafficking - for that's what it is, pure and simple, a criminally organised money making scheme - are scum! and those on here that call people ‘right-wing' and ‘racist' for simply bringing up this border chaos are no doubt conveniently ‘removed’ from the situation...how? they probably live in the areas not affected by illegal igration, and so they don’t care, I’m all right jacks - selfish you say? not I.

If we are serious about taking ANYONE and EVERYONE with no limits, who rocks-up in a dinghy on our vast coastline, every town/city must share the burden, but they don’t do they.

Why are you so angry?
