Three utterly harmless posts and all the hair pulling commences. Grow up ladies. If you don't think the club and Mancini dropped a bollock in not selling Tevez in the summer that's your business. I think Mancini thought he could 'handle' Tevez when he patently couldn't as was proven in Munich. He's clearly an uncontrollable scumbag. The point is that we've known since last December he wants out - and in trying to control how/when he leaves we've ended up in this situation. So the club and manager must accept a bit of responsibility for it.
How very dare the manager and a CL club want to control when and for how much an employee and asset can be sold for.

The very cheek.

No, this is all Tevez's doing. All Kia kept saying in the summer is that Tevez would honour his contract if he was not sold, and in a professional manner. As would be expected from our highest paid player.
1-0 to Billy.

Did Mancini have full control of it? Every leaked report I read said that Mancini was desperate to move Tevez but the board wanted fair value. Mancini also wanted to exchange with Eto'o but the board vetoed it as Eto'o was too old. Eto'o is looking pretty good in hindsight.

That's what I remember anyway.
I certainly remember being told by ITK's that was the case, and in the papers. Well remembered.

Wow - the very definition of point scoring.

Be very proud.

And then explain how the fuck you came up with that answer.

No you must be mistaken. A number of Bluemoon members said said he was bad news and we should sell him, but not many.

I seem to remember a TEVEZ IS GOD thread somewhere and how everything bad was a misunderstanding or Mancini's fault and everything good was down to Kia.

You don't remember that?

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

I'm sure Mancini would say "iz normal to not answer ma phone. Iz important not to answer work call's on ma day off."

Yep, the Times was the first to break the story but MEN also carried it.

Roberto Mancini is facing an uphill battle to convince City’s board to bring Samuel Eto’o to the Etihad Stadium in a straight swap for Carlos Tevez.

That was the same time Mancini started talking about lack of control of the club.

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

The club most definitely dropped a bollock in the summer by not getting shut of Carlos, at any price we could get, although I can't see that any of this particular blame lies at Bob's door.

Pretty sure that Bob would have been desperate to see the back of the troublesome fucker yet publically would have to say he that he'd be happy for him to stay if a move didn't happen.

As much as this sideshow is irritating, I do think we are keeping it seperate from the main goings on of the first team and in reality we only have to stumble through the next 6 weeks or so before we can unload the twat.
