Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina

Where is it reported he's thrown a sickie? In all the reports I've read his "Reps" say there is no truth in the rumours he is ill?

I still hate Tevez and the way he has shamed the shirt of our club, however having a family member who suffers from depression for the last 20yrs and a serious form of depression then if he does have this illness to some level then I will cut him some slack in relation to this side of it but not to how he has gone about things with the club and getting his tosser of an advisor Jorabchin and Paul Mcarthy involved. That is laughable!

A lot of people are ignorant to mental illness and are naive if they think it isn't a lot more common in society than we think. Money changes fuck all with depression. It is a mental illness and requires treatment.

Like you, St Helens Blue, I have experienced depression within my close family and I agree with you it's an extremely unpleasant condition. Not only for the patient but also for those immediately around.

I think the point here though is that it all seems to be a little too convenient for the Tevez camp at this time. My view is that he spat his dummy out when he couldn't get a move and this escalated when it dawned on him that he was no longer the talisman of the team. Thus, not only could he not get a move to play elswhere but he couldn't even get to play by staying where he is.

There have been too many mixed messages coming from him - going back to last December. First he's happy at City, then he wants a transfer, then he's happy again, then he's missing his family and wants to leave. Then he won't ever go back to Manchester, then he does and says he'll give 100% whilst he's there. Then his family is over here and he's happy again, then he refuses to play / warm up etc. Then he clears off to Argentina against the Club's direct instructions. Now we are being led to believe that he has depression.

Maybe he's just thoroughly pissed off, but I think everyone of us on here would easily take being pissed off we were getting £260k a week for the privilege.

I'd like to bet that if he gets a move in January to somewhere like Madrid or Milan then he'll suddenly find a miracle cure for his alleged current condition.

There is no doubt that there is something wrong with him. It could be depression or just simply that he's not very smart, I'm leaning toward depression though but he's no genius either.

Except when he is PLAYING.

My turn.

I think he feels he has been backed into a corner in his ongoing battle with Mancini and he and Kia have no more left in their arsenal so he has retreated.

He probably feels he has burnt his bridges and felt he had nothing to lose by going back to Argentina. I don't think he is thinking rationally by doing so and perhaps his mental state is not the best at the moment. It could even involve his relationship with his wife.

His pride doesn't allow him to apologise to the manager so whilst Mancini remains (which I hope is many years) then Tevez can never play for us again.

How do you explain the sudden improvement in the team this season?

If theres anything that gives me any satisfaction from this whole affair, its that we are doing fucking marvelous without the little shitbag.

Fuck off Carlos.

I think that's part of Carlos's woes.

I remember Gary Neville mentioning in his autobiography that Tevez became more insecure and less interested when he wasn't a regular in the team.

He wants to be the main man and that isn't happening for him anymore at City.

I think that's half the problem. If we were doing shite without him he would probably love to come back and play the returning hero.
The fact that we actually look better without him and aren't missing him in the slightest has severely bruised his delicate ego and he's thrown a tantrum and done one.
Fuck off Carlos you ugly little stump.

Yes - last night I read a report which said that his representatives had denied any reports of a medical problem at all.

This morning I read that his representatives have confirmed that he has a problem.
Maybe his representatives haven't got a clue what he's doing either.

Mind you, these are the same representatives who claim that they know nothing of a requirement for Tevez to attend a meeting yesterday. Must be so frustrating for whoever is dealing with him at the club.
