I still hate Tevez and the way he has shamed the shirt of our club, however having a family member who suffers from depression for the last 20yrs and a serious form of depression then if he does have this illness to some level then I will cut him some slack in relation to this side of it but not to how he has gone about things with the club and getting his tosser of an advisor Jorabchin and Paul Mcarthy involved. That is laughable!
A lot of people are ignorant to mental illness and are naive if they think it isn't a lot more common in society than we think. Money changes fuck all with depression. It is a mental illness and requires treatment.
Like you, St Helens Blue, I have experienced depression within my close family and I agree with you it's an extremely unpleasant condition. Not only for the patient but also for those immediately around.
I think the point here though is that it all seems to be a little too convenient for the Tevez camp at this time. My view is that he spat his dummy out when he couldn't get a move and this escalated when it dawned on him that he was no longer the talisman of the team. Thus, not only could he not get a move to play elswhere but he couldn't even get to play by staying where he is.
There have been too many mixed messages coming from him - going back to last December. First he's happy at City, then he wants a transfer, then he's happy again, then he's missing his family and wants to leave. Then he won't ever go back to Manchester, then he does and says he'll give 100% whilst he's there. Then his family is over here and he's happy again, then he refuses to play / warm up etc. Then he clears off to Argentina against the Club's direct instructions. Now we are being led to believe that he has depression.
Maybe he's just thoroughly pissed off, but I think everyone of us on here would easily take being pissed off we were getting £260k a week for the privilege.
I'd like to bet that if he gets a move in January to somewhere like Madrid or Milan then he'll suddenly find a miracle cure for his alleged current condition.
