Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina

I don't think anyone is downplaying the effects of depression, the many guises it can take.

However, because all of these stunts are not confined to just Tevez, his agent has pulled plenty in his name, does he have depression, also?

I come to my own conclusion.

He does anyone who suffers with depression a massive disservice, and this contributes to the wider ignorance of others.

Same people who cry rape or play the race card, and have been found to be lying.

Will he have to now actively get treatment for his "depression" from club doctors or is he just allowed to carry on playing golf and eating in Argentina?

No clearly not, but putting Kia's actions and personal motivations to one side and purely looking at Carlos the individual, I do think he could be a man who suffers from depression. That doesn't expunge all his other negative character attributes or act as a 'get out of jail free card' for his wrong doings, it's simply an observation on who he is.

It may however go some way to explaining his nomadic career. He could be a man who is always trying to escape his unhappiness, something he doesn't properly understand, and is trying to tackle these feelings through changing aspects of his life that he incorrectly believes are the problem (greener pastures lie elsewhere so to speak).

This may be something Kia has exploited for his advantage (whether or not he himself is aware of Carlos' depression), promising him he’ll be happy once he’s in another country; earning more money; at a big club; with a manager who wants him; back with his family etc etc. With each change there’s the initial surge that comes with experiencing something new and the possibility of a bright new beginning, before Tevez then slumps back into unhappiness as he’s not addressed his issues - at which stage he's back on to Kia: 'I'm unhappy do whatever you need too and get me away from this', and thus the circus kicks off all over again.

All speculation I know, just thinking aloud.

His nomadic career was down to one thing, his ecomomic rights were owned by the Russian mafia, who bankrolled Joorabachian in South America (see current Abramovich v Berezovsky High Court case)

When third party ownership was outlawed in this country, so was his regular meal ticket.

I think every person suffers from depression in one form or another during testing periods of their life.

I do not believe for one second he is clinically depressed. Just depressed about his situation not being able to call the shots.

Fair enough. TH I do remember at the time MSI became invlolved with Corinthians it was shrouded in mystery, but it's not something i've ever read further into.

As to Carlos' mental state, I'll bow to your far greater knowledge of him as an individual - regardless I hope he and Kia are well clear of the club as soon as possible.

I expect to see photographs of Tevez dancing on tables in Argentina and laughing whilst being fed grapes. All under the headline of "Depressed ? " in a Sunday paper soon. God bless out wonderful press ;)

Where's the NOTW when you need it....

...or the sunday sport? - "tevez found on moon"

Warn him, that for every day he refuses to turn up to train,he will be fined two weeks wages. That will quickly "depress" his bank balance. Also until all fines are paid he will not leave the club.He would be broke by the New Year.

Very true that Moomba, but at the same time there are just as many who aren't able to hold down a job or conduct themselves as they should. It depends on the individual, the severity and root cause of the depression, and the level of support or medical assistance they are receiving.
Fall for his bollocks if you want.

I won't.
I wont fall for his bollocks either.
Yeah!
