I don't understand this thinking. Lets be clear, Tevez is not here to make City fans happy. He is here because he can't be anywhere else, and needs to prove himself valuable for prospective buyers. And City is accepting is apology, not because they are ALL benevolent, but because there is a likelihood he might be needed in the run in, if some of our players lose form or fall to injury.Freestyler said:As if he's come out and made this off his own back.
he's only done it, cause he's been forced into it.
he'll hand in another transfer request come summer, and it will all start again.

No not Rodney's fault the people who picked the side.Skashion said:No, he doesn't (we are actually top of the league - I don't understand the desperation of some on here), and I don't think he wants to.
Later on after Big Mal left,he claimed that he should never have signed him,at that particular time.

Both sides have something to gain. Clearly Tevez more than City, but both do. So lets stop pretending Tevez is some guy trying to trick City fans into believing he loves it here. He doesn't. Haven't for a long time, and for the first time in 2 years City will be fine without him when he leaves, and he will be fine with the better weather (or whatever floats his boat) when he leaves.
We all know that. So we should stop acting like we don't. The apology is to clear the air. It doesn't change how Tevez feels about the town, or where he would like to be. And it doesn't change what City intends to do come summer (sell him.) He wants out, and City management will prefer he is out in the summer. But while we are in the season and can't do anything about it, he may as well lend a helping hand to the cause.
FFS that is what he is getting paid for!

The problem with this is that I’m struggling to see what the club has to gain. you’re right when you say that there is no doubt that his reasons for wanting out haven’t changed. He thinks the weather, country, city and club are shit and he thinks the manager and fans are a bunch of cunts, evidenced by the fact that he’s treated them as such.
If he was at the top of his game, he may get into the team ahead of who? Aguerro? - that’s the role he plays and it was Aguerro who was bought to replace him.
He is back for two reasons. Firstly, the money - even to an imbecile like him, £10m is a tough penalty and doesn’t help him feed his entourage. Secondly, if he’s nowhere near the first team, potential suitors will eventually ask the question of if he can ever regain top form so he may never get the move he covets.
We don’t need him and we should not dance to his tune. We’ve come a long way since he was top dog - now he’s just a dog and should be treated accordingly. His re-appearance can cause disruption and unrest in the squad and resentment amongst the fans at the most crucial moment.
Fuck him off as soon as possible, keep him away from the squad and for the sake of us all, do not put his name anywhere near the first team sheet.
But they coincide with ours for now.Blue Si said:If Tevez had got his move to Milan in the transfer window (his favoured club.....allegedly)......does anyone seriously think he would have made this "apology"?
Carlos Tevez has, and has always had , his own interests at heart.
