The statement was a drafted agreement between both Tevez camp and City.

If City did not believe it ticked the right boxes, it would not have been sanctioned.

The pictures late last night of Tevez at Carrington, with Vicky Kloss, stood with him in reception, tells you what you need to know.

Tevez was in over his head, the players want him, and tomorrow, Mancini will meet him directly, and get his apology.

A line will be drawn for the good of everyone and first team training beckons.

am i right in saying all because the club stood firm tolm?

Of course. City have been superb and adhered to the very last letter of the law.

Khaldoon has been a man of his word, having insisted all along the club would not be ripped off or leveraged into a situation not of our choosing.

It is also good to remember that for the first time in his career, Carlos Tevez has not got what he wanted and achieved his desired aims.

Mancini and the club have played a blinder and if Bob wants to play him, that should be good enough for everyone.

It is for me. I have switched position for a few weeks now as this thing played out, but the overriding message from the playing staff and officials is one of bridge building for the good of the club.

As said previously, my first and only instinct is to celebrate the ball hitting the back of the net, not who actually achieved the act.

That adulation can come later. For Tevez it will never come, just as it didn't in the FA Cup win.

The history books state, Manchester City FA Cup winners 2011.

Not Carlos Tevez FA Cup winner 2011.

Tevez was exceptional last season but found himself down the pecking order this season for no good reason.

Bloody hell. What about transfer request last January and another one in the summer. What about coming back a stone overweight and late. We bought Aguero as his replacement. Hardly likely to leave Kun on the bench and play Tevez.

has ian paisley been living in a cave in afganistan for the last 15 months

If tevez does score, i wonder how he'll celebrate?
No doubt he'd wipe his arse with his City shirt, and get a standing ovation by some of the posters on here as he did it.
If he scored, that's all I care about.

Handwring all you like, it will make simply no odds.
Ruffled your feathers, though....

I have a very bad feeling. Tevez is not to be trusted, at all!

I feel an own goal against United coming on...something of that nature...i do not feel good about Tevez coming back to play for us!

i think through this whole affair city look like ending up smelling of roses, it also a good marker for the future. we`re man city we wont be fucked with

Imagine the derby, City and rags level on points. 1-1 in added time and we win a penalty.

Guess who steps up.

How are we all feeling?

Totally, I ran around the room naked 3 times just to calm down.

About as calm as can be when Mario is taking it!

Then Aguero, then Milner, then Barry...

I think it's a fair bet to suggest Tevez will be well aware where he stands in the pecking order on that one from Mancini.
