What are peoples thoughts on the SSN/Sun story, that its a relatively small difference on wages that has prevented him signing for United yet? Does this news make it more or less likely we will sign him? My first reaction was that this was a blow to us, and that United would agree to pay more. But initial reactions here are more positive.

Yep and they have changed the story to suit themselves. It seems like Tevez is forcing them to value him or he is gone. On the surface anyway.

I actually believe spursmad on this one. I think Sky are creating a story out of thin air to fill a lull in the Trannie transfer. There are no direct quotes from anyone and considering how quick they have been to get Kia on the air in recent times, I think its a load of bollocks. Just a theory.

The key isn't actually how much the wages are, it's the fact that he wants to be made top earner at the rags. That will show how much they value him.

We will then also be offereng more but again that's not the point. He wants assurances from the rags of how much they value him and making him top earner would send out a strong message.
