Yes definitley. Imagine if we rushed it through and it came back to haunt us with fines or points deductions etc

Those Hughes quotes in the MEN article are interesting. Very rarely does he outright come out and say "we want this player because he will get us 23 goals a season".

I thought this quote was interesting too. Hughes only gives an assessment of what he feels a player will bring to the club if it's highly likely that he'll join. Otherwise, he just gives his usual "he's a good player and we're interested in good players" line. I'm convinced this deal will happen.

Also, where did he pluck "23" goals a season from??? That's a bit precise is it not? Wierd!
